"Everything was alright one friendly girl at the pool that understood kids"

"Things we liked - the staff was excellent, the food and drinks we had at the hotel were good, the shower and amount of hot water was great, the view from our balcony was lovely, and the lagoon was quiet and peaceful. Things that could have been better - overall the site seemed a bit run down, and our room had a strong musty odor. The staff was gracious and deodorized each day and it did improve. We also liked that there was daily yoga!"

"Our stay was during the wildfires which was tragic. However I have encountered such a professional staff. They were kind, attentive and worked around the clock for guests, although their beautiful town was destroyed before our eyes. There was enough food for guests, charging stations and a lot of helpful information communicated throughout our stay. Kim, Ford and the rest of the Royal Lahaina crew were continually patient and hospitable. Before the fires started, this resort had everything you...

"We went to the Honua Kai with our 3-year-old daughter as a recommendation from a friend who had gone earlier in the year with their one-year-old. We went for the ability to have washer-dryer, kitchenette, pools that were family-friendly, and an on-site store and restaurant. It lived up to our requirements with regards to everything. I also used the gym which was adequate for what I used it for (primarily treadmill running - when I didn't run on the beach, that is). Would recommend!"

"This was our third stay at Kaanapali Beach Hotel. It is such a wonderful property. After driving around the island, there is no doubt that this is our favorite hotel. Everyone is so nice, and helpful. It has such a laid back atmosphere, and the location can't be beat. We will definitely be returning to Maui, and when we do, we will be staying here again."
