Among the slew of announcements over the last week regarding new properties, Starwood Hotels and Resorts has also informed the public of its newest St. Regis in Amman, Jordan.
The new location is part of the brand's effort to significantly increase its portfolio and will join other Starwood properties - Sheridan and Le Meridien - the Middle Eastern country.
"St. Regis is pleased to present our legacy and bespoke service, custom tailored guest experiences and unparalleled luxury to the region," Paul James, brand leader for the hotel company, said in a news release. "As we venture to further increase our global footprint, the brand welcomes the opportunity to open its doors in Jordan, one of today's most sought-after travel destinations."
The hotel group plans to open four other properties in the Middle East, including in Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
In the new property, there will be 270 luxury rooms, a variety of restaurants and bars, fitness and spa facilities, pools and complimentary butler service. The St. Regis Amman will also be attractive for businesses, as it will feature a 30,000-square-foot meeting center.
