“Great location and perfectly comfortable”

Ideal location for exploring downtown Wellington - short work to the Museum and harbour and restaurants/bars - the hotel even has its own carpark! Great value through Expedia. Our room was absolutely fine - normal double bedroom accommodation with everything you would wish for, in fact the ensuite was rather smarter than you might expect. The cheaper rooms at the back don't have the direct sea views but as the hotel is high up you still get a good view out over the town and possibly quieter.

“Excellent Hotel in a very convenient location.”

The hotel is conveniently located near the bar and restaurant area of Wellington, around Cambridge Terrace. The rooms look out over the harbour and the city and are of a good standard. The staff, especially in reception, were very friendly and helpful. The carpark at the rear also makes it very convenient for the hire car traveller. Thoroughly recommended as a stopover.

“Lovely food here”

The Hotel is well situated to walk to the centre of Wellington and near a variety of restaurants. The food in the hotel was extremely good and the staff friendly. The furnishings in our room were jaded and there was a large old TV. I can only assume the star rating was based on the number of rooms- not on the furniture, or plumbing- which made some peculiar noises-even when we were not using it! Although we were on the top floor there was some road noise and noise from the nearby skate park. Would not be as keen to return here as I would to other places I have booked through Expedia. On leaving I was quoted a taxi fare by the hotel, that they said was a fixed rate to the Interislander ferry, but the driver insisted on charging more. Maybe they need a little updating

“Visitors from the UK”

Location was very good for the sights. It was good value for money. Decor a bit dated. Noisy water pipes. Hotel guests on our floor decided to hold party till about 1.00am. Reception did ask them to stop making a noise but that didn't last
