Beautiful and peaceful hotel. You take the boat to go to the sister hotel in San Marcos, it is complimentary. The boat departure every 30 mnts. The last hour to take it is at midnight. This is the only inconvenient that we found in the hotel. You have to plan ahead you departure and return to the hotel. Beautiful garden. The breakfast is complimentary. The staff and front desk are very helpful and professional. We had such a great time

My friends and I were delighted with The Bauer Palladio. It was spotless and all the staff were friendly & efficient. Beds, pillows, linen, towels dressing gowns & slippers were 5*. Having the free hotel water shuttle to the Bauer Palazzo, their sister hotel, was a real bonus - a drink on their roof terrace is a must. Breakfast was very good with excellent scrambled eggs to help yourself to. It wasn’t advertised, but you could order poached or fried eggs at no extra cost. In the lounge you could help yourself to glasses of fizzy or still water and that was a nice touch. It was a joy to laze in the garden and have breakfast on the terrace, although it was a shame the pool was closed as it wasn’t heated. We ate dinner there one evening and the food was nice. My friends and I would recommend anyone to stay there.

very unusual property set in old church, great ambience and great views of venice. Complimentary shuttle boat is really cool. Breakfast is excellent, and the restaurant in the evening is very good with excellent food and staff.

The service and staff were amazing!! So attentive. A beautiful property away from the crowds of Venice but a short (free) shuttle to main part of Venice. Honestly couldn’t wait to get back to guidecca and the Bauer Palladio.

Wonderful, authentic Venetian property which has retained its character as a former convent. Location was excellent and the well maintained gardens were a treat. Members of staff were friendly and helpful.

Magical Oasis across from Piazza Saint Marco, What a hidden gem with complimentary water taxi taking you back and forth to their sister hotel - the Bauer Palazzo, which is practically next to Piazza St Marco (aka St Marks Plaza). We stayed in their newly renovated/furnished Convento in the back building amidst the glorious gardens - like being in an Italian Jane Austen film with a bit of the Secret Garden. SOO loved our stay. Staff is incredible - always so helpful - from the bellman to the front desk to the servers to the housekeeping to room service. They make a HUGE effort to assist you in every way.

The public rooms are charming. My room lacked proper lighting. There was a step from the bathroom into the bedroom which was simply dangerous. The service was wonderfully friendly and efficient. The garden is fantastic, and the breakfast was super. We will come back again.

Fabulous hotel!!!!!!!!
Beautiful hotel set across the water from the hustle and bustle. An efficient private boat service shuttles you back and forth. Great staff, lovely breakfast and a beautiful clean room. One thing that they could improve on is to have a bar in the lounge area. Would definitely recommend this hotel!!!

Great location without a doubt, but, sadly, really disappointed overall. I expected a better selection of wine by the glass. It really was a sub-par drinks list for a 5 star hotel. Also we had to ask 3 or 4 times for bar service in the evening, having to wait a long time even after finally placing our order. I don’t think they had enough staff on duty. I’d happily rate it 4 stars, but 5 is pushing it a bit. The reception staff were very helpful, however. Wouldn’t stay there again when there is so much competition and choice in Venice.

Although there is a water ferry every half hour to go to San Marcos Square, this is quite inconvenient. Hotel is on an island that has no shops or stores in. Breakfast should include a live omelette station and be of higher quality.

On arriving at the hotel early we were told our room would be ready in an hour which was very goid. So we went away into Venice for two hours using the complimentary water taxi, very convenient. On arriving back after two hours the room was still not ready. We went to the bar for a drink. (After reviewing the check in procedure on Expedia I was contacted by the concierge and told these drinks would not be charged). Breakfast was chaotic. Just little things like no milk offered with a pot of tea. Yoghurt not replenished when it ran out. Small touches but important. When we checked out out bill included a meal in the restaurant we had not eaten. Apparently a frequent problem as there are two hotels with similar room numbers! The manager came to apologise for the check in issue as we discovered the bill problem! It is a lovely hotel in a a beautiful spot but for the price paid it could do better

No coffee maker in the room and shuttle only to other Bauer hotel , wish there is one to train station etc Beautiful hotel very helpful staff good breakfast

Nice hotel. Extra bonus that they supply a shuttle boat to go to Murano for glass demonstration. The only flaw is that the rooms are kind of dark. Need extra lights

Excellent hotel on Giudecca - beautiful location away from the tourist hordes but an easy vaporetto ride to the Biennale. Lovely breakfast in the beautiful garden. I would make this my typical Venice hotel.

Nice comfortable hotel beautiful yard Quite part of town I Tavel a lot and i stay always at top brand hotels this is hotel is far above all of them I give them 5 star easy
