“Great location for exploring Tokyo”

We stayed in Tokyo for 8 nights and this hotel was a great base. It was very close to Shinjuku station which made it great to get around Tokyo and see the sights. The staff were very helpful - we had forgotten to bring an electrical adapter and they were able to lend us one for the length of our trip. The guest lounge was great for relaxing in with a nice coffee or hot chocolate from the machine. Room was clean (a bit small for 2 people) and provided lots of things for our use including pyjamas, slippers, hair products, etc. Would definitely stay here again!

“Great hotel”

This was our third time at the Sunroute Plaza. This was the first time we have booked a twin room there and it made a huge difference. Our room was really quite spacious for Tokyo, had enough storage space for our suitcases and space for a seat. We also had a great view of the Shinjuku skyline. The beds were big for twins and really comfortable with excellent sheets. The location of the hotel can't be beaten and it is tasteful and clean. I will definitely stay there again next time I am in Tokyo.

“top tokyo”

The hotel is located only a few minutes walk from Shinjuku station and is very easy to find. Surprisingly smart hotel. Rooms are small but very well appointed and comfortable. Everything appears to be brand new. Fantastic location for exploring Tokyo. Highly recommended.

“Brilliant Location, and great hotel”

excellent hotel, great location, rooms are compact but extremely great layout, the hotel staff are amazing and polite, easy access to shinjuku station from the Southern Terrace which is near the Century Southern Tower Hotel, which is across the road from the Sunroute Plaza, overall a brilliant hotel

“Excellent value”

My partner and I spent four nights at this hotel, which is conveniently located near Shinjuku station. The lobby is impressive and the whole hotel still has a very pleasant "new" feel about. For the money, I expected a tiny room - and while it was by no means big, it didn't feel cramped. The bathroom was also a fair size, and there was an alcove by the door that allowed us to put our two big suitcases out of the way. I liked the free internet connection in the room. There's also a guest lounge on the second floor with two computers and a free-to-use printer - which came in handy for printing off our boarding passes. Although we didn't have a mini-bar in our room, there was still a fridge, which was a nice touch. There is also a vending machine on every floor, and the prices aren't much higher than what you'd pay on the street. We had a very comfortable stay here, and I can highly recommend this hotel.

“Good location, very handy”

Nice hotel, with small but managable rooms. The toilets in the lobby were worth the trip alone! The staff speak enough English to get by, but did struggle with more complex requests, such as where the bank was.

“incredible location, very courteous and efficient staff, whole heartedly recommend it”

Hotel located 10 secondes(yes sceconds)from a metro line (via exit A1) or 5 minutes from JR Train Line(take Southern Terrace Exit or New Southern Exit), Shinjuku is the best area to stay in while in Tokyo, you have your skyscrapers, variety of restaurants, great shopping for evey budget, if you fancy designer labers you have 3 huge department stores nearby, or if you are after an electronics bargain you can shop at the big electronics shops, enjoy!

“Great for a mid-priced stay in Tokyo!”

Hotel was spotless and well-appointed. Room wasn't huge, but no problem for a single traveller. Bed extremely comfortable, and virtually no noise from rooms or corridors - had a great night's sleep! Free internet access available in the Guest Lounge - there's only 4 PCs, but I never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to use one. Location is great - just a stone's throw from Shinjuku station. The Airport Limousine bus service also makes a stop at the hotel. If you're looking for a reasonably-priced, clean hotel in a great location, you could do a lot worse than the Sunroute Plaza!

“Great hotel in Tokyo”

The Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku is less than 5 minutes from Shinjuku station, one of the major railway stations in Tokyo. This made travelling around Tokyo really easy, particularly if you pick up a Seica card (Tokyo's version of Oyster card). The hotel is modern, and despite its location, quiet. The staff were extremely helpful, everything was very clean and good quality. The only slight drawback was that the rooms were very small, the double bed was up against the wall one side with just a small area the other. Can't comment on the food because we just had the room. The hotel don't change travellers cheques, but there are several banks nearby which the staff will direct you to. I would definitely stay again if I went to Tokyo - but maybe a twin bedded room, I think they would have to be bigger.

“Another great stay”

The location is near perfect. The station is very close by giving you access to all of the main areas (no more than one change for us). In fact there is an entrance to the Oedo line right next door in the Maynds tower (which has a Citibank ATM, Starbucks and Subway subs). The Skyscrapers are a short walk as is the east side of the station where all the shops, restaurants and Kabukicho. We had the single rooms which are small but this is to be expected for Japan. However the beds are bigger than your normal single/twin bed. You could get a couple easily in the bed, its more like a small double. But if you are larger people or two friends it would be a bit too close. The rooms we were in were very clean and looked as though they may have been refurbished recently. Free high speed wifi and also terminals with printers.
