Too expensive given the quality of lodging
Air conditioning at the hotel lobby was switched off at night. Room was spacious but very basic. Bathroom shower was not kerbed and most of the bathroom floor was wet after a shower. Toilet paper was completely wet as it was located close to the showerhead. Carpet along the corridor had a bad odor and was worn. Breakfast was not appetizing.

Good Budget hotel.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was a bit smaller than expected. Not much space available for extra bed. Breakfast buffet was good.

Just another slightly overpriced hotel
Rooms are way too small. They are worn out in places. Bathroom is claustrophobic. Property needs serious maintenance. Staff seemed too busy to attend to people. A little courtesy would have helped. We had to carry all our luggage up on our own without any help. Checkin process took a lot of time with too many questions.

Great place to stay overnight.
Clean rooms, very friendly staff, helpful. The thing I liked the best though is the authentic North Indian dishes in buffet and even on order. All-in-all had a pleasant stay experience.. good and recommendable.

Short stay at Thiruvananthapuram
Was a short stay (hardly 12 hours) Checked in at around 2:00 PM and checked out at about 1:30 AM. Was here just for Padmanabhaswamy darshan. Hotel staff wasn't much aware about darshan tomings procedure etc. It would be better if front desk staff is mafe aware of the same so that when guests need info for darshan, the staff can provide the same. Google doesn't always provide the full picture. Second thing is charges for airport drop were too high. Almost twice of what some local taxi operators charge. Overall it was a comfortable stay.

bad for the price
not very friendly front office. Had issues with the kind of ID cards they accept. Kept saying they have their own rules for everything. Gave us smoking rooms by default, offered to spray room freshner when complained! Bath did not drain well. Bath also had glass wall - not great when sharing room with a colleague. Most importantly, little things didnt feel good - the finish of the rooms, poor/no room service, pretty sad breakfast quality (good spread). Pretending to be an American hotel with minimal hotel staff - but that doesnt work when other things dont work. In summary, very poor value for money. Other hotels give more!

Clean rooms. Service was great. Make sure to ask for non-smoking room though. We had to move rooms. Also, our bedding did have a drop of blood on it... from housekeeping I would say... and they replaced the bedding without fuss. This is not the norm so do not think badly of it. The point is they were very accommodating. The cafe downstairs is expensive... so we at out for much less... but the most surprising was that because we had a late flight, they extending our checkout to 8:30pm. That was extraordinary. I would definitely stay here again... and you should as well.

Other than the time it took to check-in and no porter service. It was an adequate hotel for 1 night. Trying to be modern whilst cutting corners with finished workmanship in the rooms. There is a lot of surrounding building works, but it didnt really affect us. We didn't try any of the F&B services so can't comment on that. I would recommend that the receptionist make a litte more effort with their appearance and smile occaisionally. Trying to book a cab to the airport with them proved a trying effort and the prices changed by the minute. Would I stay here again, if I had to, only at the discounted rate, but would arrange my own transport

hotel is centrally located , convenient to travel but service is not upto the mark. room is not properly cleaned if u stay for more than 1 night and bathrooms have just overhead shower. there are better hotels in the surrounding giving better deal. breakfast to be included in the room rate was also not offered

A four star hotel, which provides only one towel, 2 packets of tea and coffee, the mugs had fungus, the iron plug was broken and all out, the remote wasnt working, the commode pipe was broken and worst of all there was no hot water and as per the staff they had not switched on the hot water. Guysss....I am spending money to be treated well, I will never recommend anyone to stay there. Yes, the staff were pleasant that was the only positive. The washroom does not have mat outside so you take a bath and the room is all wet. Please do not stay in the hotel....the worst 4 star hotel I have stayed in recent times.

Secure and pleasant stay for single women
All the staff were very professional, courteous, and responsive and I received exceptional service. As a non-resident Indian woman traveling alone, I felt very secure in the hotel which provides access to guest floors in the elevators only with the key to the guest room. The hotel and the room were very clean. Buffet breakfast and dinner had a lot of variety with more variety in North Indian food for dinner and in South Indian food for breakfast though it is continental breakfast. Breakfast is not complimentary unless it is negotiated at the time of the reservation. The taste of food is good but not exceptional. Hotel amenities were good in terms of wifi access, business center (3 workstations) to access the internet, and a cell phone charging station. The drivers of the travel service connected to the hotel were very professional and courteous. The hotel is in a safe neighborhood and is quite close to the city center, M.G. Road and is about 20 minutes or 10 km from the airport.

We sytayed one nightr in this hotel while waiting for a plane. It feels like a fairly low end chain hotel like Best Western or Econolodge. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. Bathroom was small and had soap dispensers rather than individual toiletries. The staff was very young and seemed inexperienced. They forgot to order an early morning taxi for us. Hotel is close to airport. Surrounding area is nondescript.

Nice modern hotel, close to the main attractions in Trivandrum, reasonably priced. We had an early morning flight (leaving hotel at 1:30am) and the staff were good enough to have a breakfast box (fruit and sandwiches) ready for us. Service over and above the price. 2 hours of free Wi-Fi included in the room rate.

Keys Hotel Trivandrum
I stayed here for four nights as a female traveling alone, and felt extremely safe (I recommend the "secure ladies floor", although the other floors are probably just as safe). Very clean, free wi-fi in room, tv, bottled water with housekeeping everyday, good room service, overall very nice. The food is somewhere between OK and good - they have a pretty decent selection.

From the photographs it does look to be in an great area. It is in a good area but that is how all the areas in Trivandrum are. Staff was extremely courteous and the pricing for everything was aplus. However, the carpets could use a good cleaning or better yet replacement.

The rooms were very clean and modern. No big frills. The bathroom was good. The air conditioner kept us super cold, just the way we like it. Free wi-fi and free breakfast were great. The hotel staff was very helpful. They helped recommend places to go and places to eat. We went for a wedding and the front desk girls helped us put on the Saris. They wouldn't even take a tip. Overall great experience if you need to be in Trivandrum, I only wish they kept more money for exchanges.

The Keys Hotel in Trivandum is a modern hotel and belongs to a chain of hotels. The reception area is very pleasant clean and welcoming. Staff at reception were courteous as were the staff in the restaurant who were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and choices were varied. The bar area was closed because of maintenance during our stay. We were unable to access the gym so asked for assistance from reception. They rescanned our access card but still we couldn't enter! They seemed too busy to offer further assistance at the time. Rate for extending our stay seemed very high so we moved to comparable more economical hotel down the road.

Now I Know Why It's Called Keys Hotel
This being a new hotel, there's a few glitches that need to be worked out...namely the electronic key system and the air-conditioning (AC). The former required getting new key cards on a daily basis, while the AC was very uneven in the public areas of the hotel and slow to respond in the guest rooms. However, the staff were extremely friendly and responsive and aimed to please. Very clean and modern hotel with a great restaurant.
