Usually a good place to stay. But last night I was kept up until after 11pm due to a loud repetitive banging noise. I rang at 10.30pm and was told they’d investigate. They said it was the pipe cleaning from the bar. And said it would be over in 10mins. It was another 35minutes until finished. I get up at 5.30am so was trying to sleep. It was really poor.

I booked this hotel so that I could get an early check in as a VIP member, after a long flight from the US. I arrived 2 hours early and was told that the room was available, but I would have to pay if I wanted to check in an earlier. I did not receive any of the VIP Expedia benefits and had to put up with a very rude receptionist called Hadia in the evening who kept talking over me. I called the reception and was in my pajamas but she told me I needed to go down to see her so I had to change to go down to talk to her. She then continued to talk over me very rudely telling me that I did not get the benefits because I did not ask for them at check in and that now I was not going to get them because I had a bad attitude. The new junior receptionist, Lily Anne should be better trained and understand the Expedia VIP benefits.

Unfaif to not inform if noisy room until arrival
Arrived at the hotel on a Saturday night and was told there was a function and that it may be noisy ib the room but wohld stop at midnight, we could stay in the bar if too noisy! It was very noisy in the room and really shoyld be advised when booking and offerres a discount if choosing to stay, we would not have stayed, this was the underlying problem and spoilt the whole stay, not impressed

Good morning,I would like to thank you for your feedback, when booking and looking at the details of the hotel prior to booking as any guest would do it stated that we are a wedding and events venue, this is the case for many hotels across the country and I am not aware of why this would incur a discounted rate? We have details on our booking pages and website, you were advised on check-in, if we had other rooms available we could have moved you or if you had wished to have stayed somewhere alternative we would of course refund you upon early departure. I do hope you consider us again and please contact us directly so we can inform you of any events taking place at our venue.

Travelled as a family of 3 and the hotel really accomodated us- even getting milk for my son at 6am. I wish we'd been given a sheet for his travel cot- he probably would have slept better if there was a sheet on the cot. But other than that, we had a lovely stay.

Beautiful hotel
Really lovely hotel. Great parking and very comfortable and cosy inside. I have a lovely room with a balcony overlooking a courtyard which would have been lovely in summer. It was December for me but there were twinkly lights and trees lit up so very pretty. I would stay again.

Great overnight stay would recommend hotel .
Staff were very friendly and helpful . Room was a great surprise we have never had a family room with 2 bedrooms Evening meal was excellent well presented and high standard. Cocktails were amazing .

Quaint small hotel within east reach of Bicester
Needed to be in the area and this hotel was perfectly located. Easy to find. Lots of parking. Room was small but I got a good rate so no complaints. I wanted to check in early but the room wasn’t ready so had a lovely coffee in the bar whilst I waited.

The restaurant menu was excellent. Great choice of food and far removed from the std lazy hotels that just serve up anything from a fryer or microwave. Prawn linguini with roasted tomatoes and chilli was sublime. The room was comfy, clean and modern

First time staying here. Waited nearly 45 minutes for food to arrive in the restaurant. The bed was firm enough to give me a poor night's sleep and a bad back and there was a manager and 2 other members of staff talking about customers and inner workings of the hotel out loud in the lobby

Nice hotel with pleasant staff. Unfortunately my bathroom wasn't quite clean and the rooms are old so noise from the road and an adjoining room who had a particularly noisey shower cubicke meant i got very little sleep. I checked out tge next morning to find somewhere else for my second night and mentioned the noise. The lady on reception surprised me by offering a refund on the second night since they couldnt fix the hoise issue. However they made me go through Expedia to get the refund and refused a full refund on the second night. Overall, pretty badm food is nice though.

Don’t think I will consider staying here again
Too noisy as I could hear the residents upstairs and those walking on the corridor very loud as if they were inside my room. Could have a comfortable sleep as I expected

Shockingly poor and overpriced
Booked the hotel for 2 nights but left after the first as the hotel was that bad and made a 400 mile round trip just so I didn’t have to step there again there was stuff growing on the net curtains and hazard tape holding the carpet down. Was told I was not able to eat there as they were full, so can’t comment on the food but on talking to other guests they were also shocked and upset they were told the were not welcome in the restaurant. Surely they should give hotel guests priority

The net curtains are not excusable and for this we apologise, the tape on the carpet is laid down in order to prevent a trip hazard, we are in the process of replacing these carpets. Finally we are an 87 bedroom hotel, we can not cater for every single resident, we always advise to book a table when booking a room, this is clear on our website too to ensure a seating for dinner as is standard practise.

Expedia messed up because the room I booked through them wasn't really fit for two adults and a child. The person at the reception converted the original room with another one made for three guests. The breakfast was rich and really good.

My holt hotel stay
My stay at the holt was very comfortable whilst working away from home,bar and restaurant prices a little pricey, beds and cleanliness excellent,only dampener was a colleague's van was broken into on the carpark at night.
