The capital of Selangor State is a modern city located midway between Kuala Lumpur and Port Klang. Known as the showpiece city of the future, the Sultan Slalhuhddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque dominates the capital with its minarets towering at 142.3 metres. The Shah Lam Lake Gardens feature floating seafood restaurants and yearly Selangor orchid exhibitions. Other attractions include the Wet World Water Park theme park, historical museum of bread, the Plaza Shah Alam, and the Shah Alam Mall.
