The price was perfect for a suite, nice and clean, friendly staff…. Only bad thing was that the elevator didn’t work and my dad had surgery on both his knees so walking up the stairs can be very painful for him. Everything else was perfect. Definitely will be booking more stays here.

Good breakfast, the lady serving the breakfast is very nice and friendly. Just the carpet smell is quite strong… might be the cleaning agent their using. Over all it was a good 5 nights stay.

The size of the family room is great. The hotel itself is dated and could do with a refurbishment..staff were excellent. Breakfast included was a bonus, however there is limited seating. Over all was a great stay

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean. It feels inviting when you walk in. The breakfast options are great. I would stay here again.

Very rude receptionist.
The hotel receptionist refused to send a bellhop to bring the luggage cart downstairs. They had delivered it to our room then left it in the doorway. I requested the help because my aunt and I are both disabled, using cane and walker. The receptionist refused to send help to move the cart out of the way and was very nasty about it. She was middle-aged, tall and wore heir in a ponytail. I wish I had gotten her name. We overheard her speaking to another customer on the phone about their bill. She was yelling at them, saying they were not looking at the bill correctly. After hearing that, my aunt and I both looked to each other, and said, “That is very unprofessional“.

They were doing construction and i didnt find out until after a booked and the toom that they gave me was right by the room they were doing repairs on i checked in at 2 am and would have liked to sleep in until check out time but that was impossible dur to the noise of the drills and hamers

I have enjoyed all my stays at Holiday Inn Express hotels. The hotel in Chula Vista served a particularly good breakfast every morning. The biscuits and gravy and egg white omelets were amazing!

Great stay! Housekeeping staff always cleaning. Definitely noticed how much attention is paid to cleanliness. Friendly staff. Great morning buffet breakfast and choices. Comfortable beds. 2nd time staying here and will stay here anytime I visit the area.

Holding my credit card for incidentals. Would not let me check in until I presented a card. Further, after my stay ended, would not release charges to card. It is still pending on my account. Advised they release hold in 7-10 days. This is unacceptable. Expedia did not inform me that this would be the criteria for staying at this hotel.

A clean hotel with friendly staff. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast was well stocked and tasty enough. The elevator was one of the slowest I’ve been on, but overall it was enjoyable stay.

Enjoyed my stay
I was very pleased with our stay. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was pretty good. The room was great with the beds, the bathroom, the mirrors, closet with iron, the products in the bathroom. The one thing that I would complain about is the elevator doors opening and closing extremely slow. They should get that fixed.

Was welcomed with a friendly smile from front desk. Lady who helped me looked like she was in charge. She was polite and helpful with my check in. I felt comfortable and welcomed. Breakfast was great. Parking was good, luckily it wasn't packed. Location was ok. Will consider if visiting nearby
