Cons: the bed was a bit hard
Me and my family stayed at Ramada over the Thanksgiving holidays. Overall, everything was great. Room was in immaculate condition. I would definitely stay again.

Not half bad considering geographical location.Posted 10-Sep-2013
Pros: Rate from expedia, less than 1/2 price of the hotel next door.
Cons: Earlier check in time.
Location: Ski a well managed area in winter and attendance at the horse track is essential.
Facilities fairly nice, staff friendly & somewhat helpful. Not bad facilities considering the location in the middle of the great southwest.

Stayed at the Ramada Ruidoso Downs two nights. The hotel is very nice! Rooms are great, very modern, clean, quiet, and the breakfast was great!

Ramada at Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico. Upon entering our room we smelled a dreadful stale odor. The carpet needed vacuuming, the tub soap fixture was barely in place, the tub/shower and facet had not been cleaned, the upholstered chair was thread bare and dirty and the bottom sheet would not stay on bed during the night. Fortunately, we were staying only one night!

Hotel stayPosted 26-Aug-2013
Cons: Make sure linen on the beds are changed every time a customer leaves
The hotel was fine but linens on the bed didn't seem fresh. they were wringled as if they were not changed. One of the pillows was torn and the stuffing was coming out.

Ramada Ruidoso Downs New MexicoPosted 21-Aug-2013
Pros: Helpfulness of staff.
Cons: Chair in my room was ripped . . . Bad first impression. Also, the business center needs a printer!
Location: I was working so I did not venture out except to eat. Jorge's across the street is great! Town looked interesting with lots of unique shops.
The room was 'used' but clean. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. (The hard boiled eggs do take longer than a minute to get warm. And, they do explode!)

Not worth the pricePosted 19-Aug-2013
Pros: Close to Ruidoso Downs Racetrack
Cons: The rooms, including carpeting, needs to be renovated and replaced.
Location: Close to racetrack and shopping
We did not feel that the hotel met our expectations. The beds were uncomfortable, the refrigerator in the room did not cool, the carpet was dirty, the breakfast was really bad, the wall paper was starting to peel, and the ceiling was repaired very poorly and looked bad. We will not being staying there again when we return to Ruidoso.

Almost GoldilocksPosted 12-Aug-2013 on Hotels.com
Everything seemed to be almost just right. Bed was a little too hard/old, pillows were too soft. Pool and hot tub were nice- both warm, but pool was salty (little weird) and hot tub had gravel on floor- almost just right. Breakfast was boiled eggs and microwave pancakes. Staff was friendly- didn't kick us out when we didn't realize it was past breakfast time and brought us towels to the pool area. No real complaints, but no real stellar moments either. Almost just right.
