"Thanks for the hotel gave me a room with the fantastic view of Niko castle. However, there was a sort of noise we could not find where it came from. The hotel kindly offered another room. Reception desk and catering services are also kind and helpful. Breakfast is superb. The facilities of gust rooms which I experienced are old, but the bed is comfortable. Staff are polite and helpful. "

The location of Gion Ryokan Karaku is very central. Just a couple of minutes away from Yatasa Shrine and an easy 15 minutes walk to Kiyomizu Dera temple. We would recommend this Ryokan to anyone who enjoys good food and service "

"My boyfriend and I stayed at Pocket for several days while visiting Kyoto. It is located in such a convenient area (walkable distance to Nishiki and transit). The property itself is clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful! It is definitely worth staying here for the price! The only complaint I have come from the other foreigners/tourists. Please be respectful of the space especially when maintaining cleanliness as this is a shared space. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend Pocket hotel! "
