Wonderful Stay!
Hotel was very clean! Almost too elegant for our family. The rooms were super spacious. Very close proximity to Heidelberg either by car or by tram. We loved the German breakfasts. The staff (owners) were super nice and great hosts.

+++ The breakfast is a 4-star hotel experience. Really exceptional ++ The staff is extremely friendly ++ Good WiFi, even on the top level + This hotel is charming - They played the same song on repeat throughout breakfast. I heard an Adele-like song around 7 times while I was sitting there. --- I was on the 3rd floor of the building, and the room was exceptionally hot. If the room came with AC or a fan, this place would be on the repeat list, for sure. But as is, I slept poorly.

Very difficult to find anyone at the front desk. One traveler showed up late to check in and they couldn’t even get in touch with anyone from the hotel. The phone number listed on the lobby door to contact the staff wasn’t even the correct number.

Thanks a lot for this review of your visit. We appreciate your constructive points of criticism. Yes, there is always someone in the hotel. If any of our guests are in need of something, we are very happy to help. Event tough this means, we are not able to be at the front desk for a few minutes. For that case, we wrote our phone number down, so anyone could call us. This phone number is correct.

Very nice hotel close to Altstadt.
Nice room. Wonderful breakfast, much variety and unexpected delicious offerings such as a bruschetta and caprese. A short walk to a tram stop and 15 minute ride across the river to the old section of the city. Staff friendly and helpful.

Thanks a lot for the visit and the review about it. Of course we are sorry, you did not enjoy your stay the way we want our guests to. The distance to the old town of Heidelberg is 3 km or a 10-15 min ride by tram.

Two confy nights
Stayed two nights with my wife, the room was very good and the location made it easy to take the tram to the old part of town. The restaurant on the first floor has good food.

A good clean hotel. Nice breakfast. There was some confusion on check in times but it worked out overall. There is a tram stop a block away. There is no on site parking so you must find a spot near by in the neighbourhood.

Decent B&B. Small but well decorated. Bed was on slats so marginally comfortable. Plenty of hot water satellite German TV. Only street parking was availabile but seemed safe enough. Charming environment and good continental breakfast. Reception staff was NOT very welcoming and I expect they are the owners. No lift so be prepared tywk up several steps.

Great lofty room!
We found ourselves in Heidelberg to ride the funicular, and since I had just driven 400 km from Bavaria, we needed a place to stay the night. This place popped up, conveniently located on a main street so it was easy to find. Parking right out front the door. Super nice and welcoming owners/staff. Helped carry the luggage to the room up the stairs. Excellent room, very spacious, view of the action outside if you wanted. Nice bathroom with super shower. Breakfast included was terrific with many nice choices. Great coffee which is a must! Thank you!

A stylish boutique hotel in a quiet location-10 mins by tram from Aldstadt.Parking & wifi available.Rooms are large & comfortable with TV/desk/chair & complimentary water.Bathroom is small with shower.Excellent stylish restaurant with good menu for dinner with wines available .Great ambience.There is a bar also & stairs to rooms no lifts.Staff are friendly

Would recommend
We just stayed for one night, but we found it perfect for our needs - very clean, beds comfy, decorated to a good/modern standard, breakfast was good., staff were helpful. Didn't get to eat in the restaurant in the evening but the menu looked interesting, and would have liked to try it. Not in the middle of the Old Town but very close to a tram stop and not a problem at all to get into town - only a few stops on the tram to Bismarkplatz.

Ein super schönes Hotel,alles mit Liebe Eingerichtet. Das Bett ist der Hammer,leider konnten wir nicht viel Schlafen bei der Hitze da ein Ventilator fehlt. An der Strassenseite würde ich sagen ein muss da man wegen dem Lärm alles schließen muss. Ambiente in den Zimmer super (wir durften 2 sehen) die Außenalage mit so viel Liebe Hergerichtet und dank des Kühlschrankes im Flur, konnte man sehr schön verweilen und nette andere Gäste kennenlernen. Das Frühstück hat alles was das Herz Begehrt,plus Ambiente innen oder Außen...Topp Wenn wir mal wieder kommen dann mit Zimmer zum Hof. LG Fam.Pförtner Wenn wir

Das Hotel ist keine Kette und wird so liebevoll geführt und dekoriert, dass man sich nicht nur sofort wohl fühlt, sondern auch viel zu entdecken hat. Von Schubladen voller Süßigkeiten über Komplimente zum Mitnhmen bis hin zu einer kleinen Teeküche steht dem Gast einiges zur Verfügung. Das Frühstück bietet eine breite Auswahl und wird ständig frisch aufgefüllt. Hotel Auerstein - nur zu empfehlen!

Das Hotel ist süss eingerichtet und das Personal an sich freundlich. Allerdings beschränkt es sich auf das nötigste. Es hat keinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer, auch keinen Safe oder kleine Pflegeprodukte im Bad. Frühstücken kann man nur bis 9:30!! Auch hier die Standard Nummer. Für Rührei oder Spiegelei zahlt man extra. Für den Preis hätte ich mehr erwartet! Ich geb mein Geld lieber wo anders aus.

Gute Anbindung zur Innenstadt, und auch liebevoll eingerichtet. Insgesamt waren wir aber sehr enttäuscht, da wir ein französisches Bett von 1,20 m mit einer durchgelegenen Matratze bekommen haben. Eigentlich war das wohl eher ein Einzelzimmer. Aber leider war auch nur noch ein anderes Zimmer mit einem Bett gleicher Art vorhanden. Wir haben beide Nächte fast nicht geschlafen auch weil es stickig und laut war (von der Straße). Die Bewertungen bezüglich Freundlichkeit und Frühstück können wir auch nicht nachvollziehen. Da haben wir zum gleichen Preis schon viel besseres erlebt. Noch ein Tipp. Nehmen sie sich nicht eigenständig Besteck und gehen damit auf die Frühstücksterrasse, dann werden sie von der Inhaberin gemaßregelt, man könne wohl nicht abwarten. Also alles in allem 200€ für 2 schlaflose Nächte mit Frühstück.

Information und Aufklärung für die Öffentlichkeit. Wenn Sie in unserer Villa kurzfristig ein Doppelzimmer buchen zu einem Angebotspreis, kann es durchaus sein, dass Sie in einem Zimmer mit französischem Bett mit einer Größe von 1,40 m x 2,00m übernachten. Wir verfügen über keine Zimmer mit einem Bett von 1,20 Meter!!! Sie können gerne Ihre Wünsche mit uns im Vorfeld klären. Sollten Sie dennoch nach der ersten Nacht spüren, dass Sie sich unwohl fühlen, sind wir dankbar und es geht fair zu, wenn Sie uns ansprechen. Da wir über ein zweites Haus verfügen, gibt es durchaus die Möglichkeit, eine gute Lösung für alle zu finden. Gerne können unsere Gäste auf Terrasse Frühstücken. Das Besteck, die Tassen und auch die Servietten liegen aus und wer möchte, kann sich daran schon mal selbst bedienen. Wir lieben es, ein „Wie - Zuhause- Gefühl“ zu leben. Durchgehend freundliches und zuvorkommend, jedoch nicht gekünsteltes Personal. Wir hatten eine unglaublich tolle Nacht und sind begeistert, dass man sich so wohl fühlen kann in einem Hotel. Kann ich unbedingt empfehlen, da es auch nah am Stadtkern liegt und die Anbindung stets in kurzen Zeiträumen gegeben sind. Das Frühstück war dann ein sehr leckerer und entspannter Abschluss und obwohl wir 1h zu spät kamen hat man uns noch Frühstück gemacht und das sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder und danken für den angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Ausergewöhnlich schönes Ambiente im Frühstücksraum. Liebevolle Hotelbesitzer die sehr herzlich zu den Gästen sind. Die Zimmer sind mit viel liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Wer ein paar verträumte Tage in Heidelberg verbringen will ist im Auerstein genau richtig. Wir kommen immer wieder.

Sehr zentral gelegen, verschiedene Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig erreichbar - problemloses Parken in den Seitenstrassen - ausserordentlich gutes Frühstück - stabiles Wlan - aufmerksames, geschultes Personal - ansprechendes Ambiente im ganzen Hotel.
