"Very comfortable, with more individual design features than your average chain, and the Gloucester Indigo seemed very reasonably priced compared with some other cities. The staff are very helpful. We hadn't booked to include breakfast at £17.50 each per night, but found that paying at reception before 11pm the previous night got us breakfast for £15, while it would be £20 on the day. It was decent value at £15. Very convenient for rail and bus stations, and easily walkable to the cathedral and other places of interest. Check before booking that the museums etc will be open when you go."

"Clean room but was woken up at 3am by about 50 pigeons on the flat roof right outside my window. Subsequently kept awake from then on by the most horrendous racket. Guessing it was their nesting spot! Avoid room 8. Really tired room but in all honesty for a one night work stop over it had all I needed apart from the fact that the shower was hard work when you don’t actually want to get your hair wet and the towels are literally half the size of a normal one. Luckily I have been on Mounjaro for the last year so that was ok. WiFi really good, able to sign into your own apps so tv was great. Handy fridge in room. Noisy hotel, take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Definitely not a destination hotel but great for all I needed so can’t fault it in that respect. I’d return when working in Gloucester again."

"Out of town location. Property needs a makeover. Carpets overdue for clean or replacement. Room otherwise clean but not serviced daily. Reception staff polite and helpful but don't present a confidence in their product. Overall impression was shabby. Breakfast by 830am was limted to remains of much earlier cooked food. Had to bring attention to staff the mould on bread for toast."

"Lovely serene location near the canal and river (might get busy when the weather is good)..Lovely traditional spacious and comfortable rooms, in good clean condition. Communication before arrival excellent. We weren't able to use the spa bath as the plumbing currently needs re-doing to prevent leaks and there is no shelf to put the toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast isn't available at the restaurant currently but there is Toby Carvery or the cafe at Over Farm next door. Location is convenient with a car being close to Gloucester itself."

"The room was adequate for our overnight stay. The shower was really good and all the basic usual were there. The welcome from Nadine was excellent as well as the rest of the staff. We really enjoyed the breakfast, thank you Chef. Overall the Linden Tree is a good, basic stopover, especially if staying overnight after watching the Cherry and Whites."

"Hi, always a great welcoming at this hotel will all members of staff when I stay there. Booked on Sunday 31st May arrived in the afternoon and was greated by lovely young lady call Chanel very chatty as always I can remember from last time I stay she's doing a great job. Okay hotel can do with little pick meups like shower floor towel cleaning but all different colours though bleach, Pillow I think the hole of the hotel needs new one's, with Pillow protection cases because you can smell someone's swet and mouth dribbles on them not a very good thing to get good night sleep. But as I can really say its comfortable clean good to have microwave and fridge it's a great hotel."
