Boutique hotel with excellent customer servicePosted 05-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
We had a delightful stay at the Golden Tulip. It is located on a side street that is a short walk to great shopping and restaurants as well as metro stations. The hotel staff was very responsive via email prior to our visit and helpfully booked most of our meal reservations. The room itself is cozy with modern decor. Our room was particularly hot because the air conditioning didn't work but we just opened a window (mind you, we never asked the staff to look into the issue, so we can't complain). All in all, a great visit. Would definitely stay there again :)

Great hotel, glad I read the reviews!Posted 25-Oct-2013
Pros: Comfort, location, cleanliness.
Cons: Rooms could be slightly bigger.
Very pleased with this choice of hotel considering some of the other hotels on offer. Very comfy, up-to-date room. Bit on the small side, but I her they all are in Paris! Smack, bang in the middle of everything but at the same time it is tucked away in a quiet side street. Could hear no noise at all at night so got a lovely nights sleep. Didn't have the breakfast but when walking past it looked really good. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a nice and affordable hotel in Paris.

Great location. Staff brilliant and helpful.Posted 17-Oct-2013
Pros: Staff, Free WIFI, Great Shower, Location
Cons: Air Con in rooms. It was roasting.
Location: Louvre, Grand Opera all within stumbling distance. Also, it is just round the corner from the Roissy Bus from CDG Airport so is very easy to get to.
From the moment we got there reception couldn't do enough to help us get our bearings in the beautiful city of Paris. They gave us maps and advised us on where to go. They recommended a beautiful restaurant and booked it for us. The hotel itself is kind of funky, in a good way. The rooms were clean and well presented. I would definitely advise others to stay here if you are visiting Paris.

Great location for weekend breakPosted 14-Oct-2013
Pros: Location is great if like me you like to walk everywhere..
Cons: The lift and breakfast included in the room rate.
Location: Rue des petite Carreuax is 5 mins away sif you are foodie.. Louvre is 10 mins walk.. Opera and the shopping and SC via Rue des Martyrs within walking.
Great location for anyone wanting a central Paris hotel. Dissapointed that we didn't get the room we wanted. Top floor rooms might be a nice idea but in reality the tiny 3 person lift is painfully slow and you will soon get bored waiting for it and take to the stairs. The 18Euro breakfast additional charge is too steep!.. just go to the Boulangerie at the end of the street and local cafe for coffee.. much better and more fun mingling with the locals.

great location for all the sights the staff were very helpful and polite internet strong in our room getting 4 mb download . my only gripe was the ensuite effectively they have wrapped a toilet and shower up with glass a swinging non locking glass door this means you can lie in bed and watch your partner sitting on the toilet so if you are looking for a romantic time perhaps this hotel is not for you not so bad for us married soles of many years. overall reasonable value for money and comfortable and of course great location.

Great location!Posted 08-Sep-2013
Pros: Rooms are small but very clean and modern and despite being in the centre of Paris very quiet too.
Cons: I was travelling alone so small room wasnt an issue. i would have found it difficult sharing the room with my husband for more than a couple of days.
Location: Excellent location to see all of Paris
Great location to discover Paris. Situated just 5 mins walk from the tube and the Roissy bus so an easy commute to and from CDG airport. Great grown up hotel. Not one I would recommend for families though.

Central hotel next to the Opera.Posted 03-Sep-2013
Pros: Clean. Functional. Friendly staff. Location
Cons: Although a small improvement would be nice to have some hooks for hanging items in the bathroom.
Location: Near different bus & metro routes. Variety of shops and resturants.
Long weekend to Paris. Enjoyed family stay at the Golden Tulip Opera. Good base to explore Paris. Wide range of shops and resturants within walking distance. Including French, Japanese, Chinese and Italian bars/ resturants.

Great PositionPosted 24-Aug-2013
Pros: The staff and the comfortable room.
Cons: The cost could be lower.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was small which was expected for Paris, but comfortable and clean. We were in Paris to visit the Louvre and this was ideally positioned - just 15 minutes walk away. It was also within walking distance of a number of other museums and art galleries along the Seine. We found a wonderful bar in a square near the hotel for breakfast and were within 15 minutes of the Gare de Lyon for our onward journey to the South of France. My only issue was the cost which I thought high but within keeping for other hotels of a similar standard.
