Niagara Falls

Stunning scenery, thrilling adventures, culture, shopping and more – these waterfalls have got it all.

Perhaps the most recognisable natural wonder in the world, Niagara Falls is an exciting blend of nature, history, culture, thrilling adventure rides and views that will blow you away. Straddling the Canadian and American sides of the Niagara River, Niagara Falls has a fantastic range of entertaining attractions to suit all kinds of visitors.

Spectacular aerial views of the Falls and the surrounding topography can be enjoyed from excellent observation points. The Skylon Tower has a mind-blowing 360-degree panorama from its 160-metre high observation deck, while the enormous SkyWheel takes visitors on a magical journey into the clouds.

Passports, visas and change at the ready; make your way to the middle of the Rainbow Bridge which straddles the border between the two cities of Niagara Falls. Enjoy this unique perspective while posing for a photo with one foot in each country.

From here, grab your poncho and hop on the Maid of the Mist boat tour. Taking visitors within spitting distance of the mighty Canadian Horseshoe Falls this is one of the most memorable ways to experience the thunderous cascade of water as it crashes down around you.

Want to get even closer to the action? From Goat Island, descend 53 metres into the bedrock and experience the thrill of the Cave of Winds tour at Bridal Veil Falls. Feel the spray on your face as the walkways take you right to the edge of the river.

The spine-tingling Journey Behind the Falls takes visitors into the heart of the famous Horseshoe Falls. Inhale the spray from barricaded tunnels which sit right behind the roaring curtain of water and feel the power of nature as it pulsates through the surrounding rock.

Need a break from the non-stop exhilaration? Retire to the peaceful surrounds of the Aquarium of Niagara. Home to an eclectic array of sea creatures, this is a great place to spend a couple of hours. See sharks and piranhas, catch a sea lion show or feed the penguins.

Finally, stop off at the pretty town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Full of history and culture, this is a charming place to explore if you have a few hours to spare. Alternatively, head for the sanctuary of the botanical gardens in Ontario’s Niagara Parks where peace and tranquillity abound.
