This property was really surprising. Despite the rooms feeling a little tired they were comfortable and large and the staff were excellent. The price is amazing for the location and size of room. The bonus and my favourite was the pool sauna and spa on the top level. For this price you won’t get these amenities at any other property I’ve stayed at in Melbourne.

Staff service at counter at check in was slow and they allowed other people to jump ahead/push in. Some of the interior walls and fittings are damaged and ageing and plumbing in room poor to the point we needed change rooms. But still very clean. Hotel facilities are great and so is the location.

Overall stay was fine as location was good. However…, Food orders take too long. Previous occupants dishes were still in the room. Beds are too small and not all that comfortable. Pillow menu requires extra $. Breakfast was plentiful and staff at breakfast were attentive.

The room I had the spa made more noise then it did working . It was poor I was disappointed with the in room spa. Not worth the money I spent for that room . The upstairs communal spa was good of course but If I wanted a communal spa I would've found a cheaper option . The room was a lil untidy other then that the service was good.

Comfortable home away from home
The Stamford Plaza Melbourne is in a central location with easy walking distance to many fabulous restaurants, theatres, the central CBD and the free tram network. Apartment-style room was cosy and comfortable and having a kitchenette is very convenient. The Singapore-inspired menu at Harry's Bar and Restaurant has a lot of delicious options and Happy Hour from 4-6pm is the perfect time to grab a drink before you head out to dinner or a show.
