Easy access to subway station. Staff really helpful in getting our luggage arranged for transfer to next hotel. Room really spacious but little old. I would definitely stay @ this property again.
Warm and sincere hospitality especially from Concierge team Concierge Chef and Irene. I stayed at Prince Hotel in Shinagawa years ago, it was beautiful during the Cherry Blossom season, the service standard at Nikko Princess is excellent. It’s within walking distance to numerous places. If you are a first timer, it’s ok to visit Nishiki Market just once. Check in advance for key festivals during your visit, to optimise your experience in Kyoto. Pace is leisurely here.
Stayed 4 nights, quiet location, walkable to subway. Excellent front entrance, service and lifts. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would stay again.
Very good location, very large rooms and bathrooms by Kyoto standards and everything was clean. However, the staff wasn’t as nice as the one we experienced at Hyatt Regency in Kyoto (we had split our five nights between these two hotels) nor were the amenities as good. The hotel is dated (late 60s / early 70s) but everything works and is clean. So, great value for money if you’re looking for something in the central Kyoto area.
Clean room, great service, hotel located at the quiet street , but just need a few minutes walk to all shops and restaurants, definitely will stay again if I visit Kyoto next time. Great location , great hotel
We were delighted to find a spacious room and encounter courteous staff during our stay. Despite we don’t speak Japanese language, we were able to seek assistance from helpful staff members who patiently assisted us in planning our travel itinerary.
Larger size rooms in old building but otherwise well kept. Building has few amenities - no onsen (spa) and concierge service was exceptionally poor and unhelpful as they only spoke English with rudimentary English skills, and didn't help with restaurants suggestions or reservations. For the money, wouldn't stay here again
The room was large, with comfortable beds. The staff was exceptional - always willing to help with questions or requests. Nice breakfast onsite. Quick commute to rest of town for tourism, shopping, etc.
Very nice hotel. Staff are helpful & always available to solve any issues & go above & beyond. It’s clean & updated. Good location. Breakfast was good with great variety & exceptional service although the coffee can be improved upon. It’s like hotels used to be before Covid. Nikko Princess is back to the old standards but many others are not. Had a great stay & would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great location, friendly staff, and a very spacious room! Will come back to Kyoto and stay here again. Appreciate the 2 ladies at the front desk who assisted me to properly wear a Yukata and tie my Obi belt. Thank you very much!
Very disappointing for a 4* hotel. We asked for double rooms but were only offered twins. The location and bathroom were good but generally not worth the money.
Very friendly and helpful staff but this is indicative of Japan. The property has an air of quality. The lobby has a beautiful water feature and the surrounding restaurant and bar is very nice. I was hoping there would be a Spa in the hotel but can't complain. The rooms are very good size for Japan and all the amenities you need. Very large shower which we enjoyed.
Great location within walking distance of most of the attractions. Lovely old world feel about the place and service incredibly polite and hospitable. Decent sized room for Japan and beautiful foyer
