Hotel Florenca
The staff was very warm and they spoke English which made it easy to communicate. Overall an excellent place to stay at.

Nice cheap family 2x double bed option
The room was very comfortable for a family stay and priced reasonable. TV - DSTV services-was not working on the night of stay. Room service with breakfast was nice- but in the room no place to really eat unless you sit on the bed. Value for money overall. TV is old and cabling is a bit messy. Room was nice and clean but the finer “spring cleaning” could earn some more attention. Thanks

Not as Advertised. Place is not safe, nothing works and its VERY dirty. Aircon is broken, Kettle is broken. Moving out today. I require a refund for the duration of booking as I paid up front.

The bathroom needs more attention, drain in bathtub was clogging water which made having a shower difficult and uncomfortable.

I didn't receive any emails to rate this place, It was a very unpleasant, uncomfortable and terrible stay. I will not recommend this place to anyone, it was not worth what we paid. it was dirty, our rooms had to changed , the bathroom was in a terrible state, there was still the previous guests dirty shoes left in the room, our rooms were changed, but it was not much better, our room had dirty linen and when I asked for it to be changed, I was informed there wasn't spare linen, we ask numerous time for towels as there were 4 of us in each room, but this never came. our rooms was never cleaned during our stay. the dirty cups which we placed outside our rooms was only removed late in the afternoon, so no replacement cups/glasses or tea or coffee was given, Breakfast was another story, only toast, coffee/juice, cereal, yoghurt, limp old fruits. I ventured into the kitchen, thankfully too. The kitchen's utensils and equipment definitely needed good cleaning, Signs of unhygienic conditions prevailed. The guest opposite us were smoking in their rooms as well as right outside our rooms in the lobby area, no one told them to refrain from smoking inside the building. We were also promised Wifi but this was not accessible. Management lacked control and supervision of this place. I will never recommend this place to anyone

Relief for a very tight budget
Basically, there is no service. The stuffs I read on websites about satellite TV, wifi, continental breakfast etc...doesn't exist. The place is cost effective if u r in a trip to leave your room in the morning, spend ur day away, come back exhausted and sleep. I must say my kids enjoyed the swimming pool.

Very deceptive. It is not like the pictures portray on the web. Building is run down and in need of maintenance. It was fine for a one night stop over but I wouldn't do more. I can't confidently recommend it to friends and family. Noisy at night and the hotel staff don't say anything to rowdy guests. :(

You don't get Honesty like this very easily.
a typical 3 star accommodation. It ticks all the boxes for all the essentials. Remember, if you want 5 star, then go pay for it. The room was very big, and very clean. The linen was clean too. Unfortunately the TV channels were fuzzy, except one satellite channel, which i presume is controlled by reception. The old flags outside really do need to go, they bring the place down. what was EXCELLENT, was their service. I was greeted with a smile and the guy was very friendly all the time. Even better was the owner. I checked out after 2 days to move to a hotel closer to my next business destination. Only 2 days after that did i realise i had forgotten a bag with 2 pairs of running shoes and some running clothes in. One pair of shoes was so brand new i had yet to put them on for the first time! Altogether the value of goods in the bag (including custom made insoles) was about R5500. They found the goods, and kept them for me to collect. This is South Africa, 99% of cases the goods would have "disappeared" especially a brand new pair of Nike! You do not come about service and honesty like that very easily! It is for that reason i will stay there again and recommend to others to do the same.

Was quite okay. However I do not understand the stinginess with toiletries, it comes with my daily pay and I can do whatever I choose with them but I practically had to beg for it to be refilled.

Hideous experience
The hotel has been terribly neglected. The garden is in an awful state. The paper flags from the World Cup 2010 are still up in the dining area which had not even been cleaned since breakfast when we arrived at 2pm. We had to drag our baggage up 3 flights of stairs with NO help. There was no Room service ie. nothing to eat nor drink. The fridge was off so no cold water nor ice. Breakfast was horrendous. Toaster had no "stop" button so kept burning the toast . Processed cheese and sandwich ham was served YUK YUK YUK !!! All in all it was a hideous experience never to be repeated.

One star max :(
Booked this hotel because of prior good reviews and three star rating. However what we found was quite the opposite. Rooms were dirty, absolute basic and in bad shape. Would not recommend at all.More at a level of youth hostel. We left after one night.

The stay at the hotel was very nice. The management is accommodating. The rooms were cleaned daily and the food was good. The management has a shuttle service around town, but due to the distance from the hotel and the center city, I would recommend renting a car if you will have an extended stay.

Pretty escape into 1960's ambiance
This is a lovely, old-fashion modestly priced venue in the middle of a tech-park expansion of industry off the freeway in Midrand. It's easy to get to from the Orr Tambo airport and easy to navigate to other parts of Jo-Berg. The staff were wonderful! So friendly. The rooms--the restaurant--were large and light and the beds very comfortable. it was as if we were in a movie set from the 1960s--life in a tropical garden. I saw my first South African birds making nests above the swimming pool. Also, lots of African people stayed there, not American or European tourists, a plus for us (why go abroad to be with your neighbors?) The breakfasts are good too.

We stayed 5 nights at VillaVia, location closed to Gallangher Convention Center, about 15km to OR Tempo Airport and if you like casino, it's about 8km to Monte Casino. The hotel should be explained to Family House, the facility is not so luxury, the wireless is always difficult to access, but the service is nice. The boss Mehash and Young Guy Dominick is helpful.

O hotel tem um quarto familiar bem grande e confortável. Limpeza diária. Bom café da manhã. A localização facilita o acesso tanto a JoBurg quanto Pretoria mas alugar um carro com GPS é fundamental !! Pessoal atencioso e disponível. Pelo custo x benefício achei uma boa opção.

Bon hôtel, le patron est très sympa, on y est bien accueillit et le service est excellent. Les chambres sont confortables et très propre. Bonne situation géographique entre Johannesburg et Pretoria dans un quartier résidentiel calme. Il faut néanmoins un véhicule. Petit bémol, le petit déjeuner est un peu trop léger à mon goût: manque de choix. Je conseille vivement cet hôtel.

O hotel assusta ao chegar. É bem pior do que aparenta nas fotos e um tanto escondido. Só dá para chegar com GPS. Mas a cidade sem o auxílio de um GPS é impossível. Ele fica ao lado de uma autopista o que se por um lado facilita o acesso por outro tem sempre barulho de carros, o que é solucionado pela janale fechada e o ar condicionado. O quarto é confortavel, amplo, com boa roupa de cama e o café da manhã é bom. O único inconveniente que tivemos foi o ar condicionado que começou a pingar para dentro do quarto e tivemos que por a lixeira para não virar um lago

Accueil très sympathique, Personnel serviable, Rapport qualité -prix excellent, gratuité des enfants super nterressant, service de chambre impeccable, petit déjeuner correct, Hotel de charme sans prétention. Bemol : Mobilité reduite si on a pas de voiture, mais le service navette est assuré, Piscine petite, Hotel un peu désuet, pas vraiment de dîner de prévu il faut se rendre au resto du coin, manque d'animation (Noêl très triste), barbecue décevant

교통이 아주 불편한 호텔
호텔 내부의 시설들은 삼성 호텔급에 가까우나 교통사정 아주 좋지못해 투숙객이 불편을 감수해야 할 것임. 다만 호텔측이 차량 제공해 주나 비용 부담이 만만잖다. 도심과의 거리가 상당히 먼 편임.
