A disappointing stay
Our stay was enjoyable but disappointing for several reasons: 1. There was litter around the pool and on our way to the bottom pool. 2. Loungers at the pool where broken. 3. We waited 1.5 hours for our lunch at the poolside. 4. Our room (127) phone was broken and we couldn"t get hold of reception. 5. The corridor leading to our room spelt terrible. 6. One of your waiters had the ordacity to ask my 14 year old daughter who is a minor for her cellphone no. This is unacceptable and I could lay a charge against him 7. Our shower in our unit had mould and was dirty. 7. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Great hotel
Excellent accommodations. The room was great and the bed super comfortable. I slept so good. Very clean room and other parts of the hotel. Only one small negative. Dinner was very slow, it took almost an hour to get a chicken sandwich and fries. But the breakfast was awesome. So so so good. Great customer service. I would definitely stay here again. 👏👏👏.

Great as usual, but not the restaurant
Have stayed in the Fairway many times and the location and rooms lived up to previous experiences. The restaurant was however very disappointing. We opted for the buffet and the quality was poor and expensive. Dinner for 2 with wine was the same price as the room rate

Nice hotel for golfers but not everybody
Clean rooms, welcoming staff, wholesome breakfast buffet and good cuisine overall made up for some small disappointments and discomforts in the room. I had to call Maintenance for issues with the heating function of the air-conditioner which never worked adequately during my stay. Winter can be cold in Gauteng. Same applied for the old TV set that had to be switched on manually after each power cut (Eskom's fault but there should have been a solution). Note that the hotel provided prompt electricity supply during each power cut so my complaint here is only about having to switch the TV on again after each of the many power cuts and reconnections. Laundry was done promptly and cleanly but the ironing+packing was somewhat disappointing. I had asked for items to be folded but those were returned in a carton box in a condition that was below par. The view from Room 210, supposedly a superior room with a view on the golf was not exactly what I expected. One should move to rooms further away from the restaurant to admire the green from one's room. However, the room opens on a private terrace and this compensated a bit. Another complaint about the room is the fact that the shower has no door and the person showering can be seen from the bedroom as the window between the two areas does not close or lock completely. Not an issue for a couple but someone travelling with a child might be embarrassed. Still, for the avid golfer, all the above should not be any deterrent.

The hotel itself is wonderful but treatment by its restaurant staff was really disappointing. They come knocking at my door at 10pm to demand settlement of a bill.

We stayed here for a one night rest in Joburg so we could play on the attached championship golf courses. Overall this was convenient and the facilities comfortable. The .hotel restaurant was good, just not great. We were coming off a great stay in the brush. I would recommend this hotel if you are planning to play one of the 3 courses. Cheers!

Amazing property and excellent location
Absolutely amazing. This hotel is perfect for us. It’s on a golf course which means that our view as beautiful trees and fairways. It’s like an oasis in the suburbs of Johannesburg. The rooms are large, beds are very comfortable, hotel amenities are lovely and there are options for food and beverages within the hotel and golf club. The breakfast which was included in the rate was amazing. The restaurant is world class and the dinner we had while staying was the best meal we ate while in South Africa.

'Breakfast-to-go' is second to none
Very brief overnight stay on this occasion, but I've stayed at this hotel before and always been happy with the facilities and service. On this trip, I had to leave very early to catch a 6am flight. The hotel prepared me a 'breakfast-to-go' which was second to none.

Tucked away in a residential area the hotel was alittle hard to find and I was alittle skeptical as to what I was going to find but I was pleasantly surprised. My husband had a complimentary head n shoulder massage upon check in that he enjoyed. I would have loved to use the in-house spa but their hours were quite restricted so we could not make it for a treatment. Family room was quite big with 2 queen beds and the bathroom with twin basins was luxurious. The towel swans on the bed with romance confetti was a nice touch. Overall a wonderful 1 night stay. Well recommended
