The hotel is in the old part of the city, thus it is an old building that has been mostly remodeled inside. The layout of our family room was perfect for us, with 4 twin beds, 1 queen, and 2 bathrooms. While nothing was truly luxurious, it was comfortable, very spacious, and worth the price we paid in the off season. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was a traditional Turkish buffet style. It was fresh and good. Staff were very friendly and offered wonderful service. Most of the main attractions are within a 5-10 minute walk, as are restaurants, the metro system, and plenty of shopping. Our only reason for not giving them 5 stars would be that some things were in a bit of disrepair throughout the building and some rooms were very loud. Rooms facing the street allow for much road noise, people talking well into the night, cats meowing and fighting, and the early morning call to prayer from the nearby mosques. These sounds were easy to adjust to and actually charming. More annoying was the sound of doors slamming throughout the building. Overall, I could recommend this as a good option for a family wanting to stay in Sultanhamet.
