Excellent people at front desk!
Excellent service at all levels from day 1. Extremely kind, patient, helpful, friendly, and wonderful people working here from the front desk to housekeeping. Special mention to the amazing ladies on the front desk: Ms. Dzung, Ms. Sa, Ms. Thuy and Ms. Kim. They were all incredible (Sa was so sweet) and so dedicated and willing to help having a positive experience in the hotel and in this lovely town, that it was really impressive. They are ready for any questions and provided excellence in anything needed to make your stay above and beyond any expectations. The location of the property is very convenient and the price really competitive and affordable. I would give them 10 ⭐️ stars over 5 ⭐️. Totally recommended. They also have an amazing spa and massage service that was wonderful. All very clean and comfortable.

Overall, it was a very nice experience. Need to replace their bicycles with new ones or keep them better maintained. Staffs were attentive, but a welcoming smile and friendly demeanor were missing.

Our room got upgraded when we checked in which was a great bonus. Room was spacious, air conditioning worked well which was necessary as it had been very hot in Hoi An when we visited. Staff were generally nice and welcoming. Location of hotel was a bit far from Ancient Town (1km) so it was not as convenient. The hotel does offer free bikes which we tried on the first day but felt the bikes were a bit wobbly and the weather was really hot to do so. It could just get a bit tricky sharing the road with lots of other motorcycles and cars. Walking was a bit far as well. I suspect that if you visit during the cooler times of the year, this would not be an issue. However, we used Grab services during our stay which were super convenient and took 5-10 minutes to get to Ancient Town and was super cheap (~22k VND one way). Also some nice and cheap cafes/restaurants nearby which were handy if we didn't feel like going to Ancient Town for a meal. Breakfast buffet was good. The rooms had a fridge and they provided beer, soft drinks and water there but we didn't realise that these weren't free. Although they provided free bottled water each day.

Check in was efficient. Front desk staff were friendly & helpful. Our triple room was spacious. Bathroom was huge! Room was cool with both the aircon and ceiling fan. Bed was too soft for my comfort tho’. Breakfast served was fabulous with lots of choices. Bicycles, that were rather well taken care of, were provided free of charge. Old town is abt 15mins Walk. A very good spa place, White Orchids Spa, is just around the corner (3 mins walk). Very happy with our stay at Golden Holidays.

This hotel is worth so much more than I paid. The staff are exceptionally friendly and speak reasonably good English, Even better now that I did my best at letting them practice on me. I have travelled throughout Asia for nearly 40 years and this hotel would rate up there in my top 3. I actually felt guilty that I had not paid more. All age groups catered for.

Stayed 14 noisy nights----so looking forward to staying here ------regardless of the reasons for the renovation work----we should of been informed before arrival of works -------so easy but nothing. Drilling and banging starting at 0730 even on Sundays. Told it would be for only 2 days ----not true ---should always be truthful not fair to us, Moved bedroom due to noise--refunded 3 nights ----could not get out of lift because of scaffold. Next room better if not for leaking roof running water down walls---told front desk --nothing done, Still noise continued stayed in room one morning due to industrial sanding outside our room creating a fog of choking dust. Told by hotel just before we left in e mail some noise is unavoidable disgusting comment, A refund to us of all 14nights should be the minimum compensation for our sad 25th Anniversary treat. Go on Like Hotel surprise us and make this goodwill gesture.. Hoi An is a special place just avoid this hotel until work is completed after June 2018 . Enjoy your travels friends.

A great alternative.
We love Hoi An. Normally we stay at another quality hotel but this time, we came here. And we are very very happy that we did. It probably does not hurt that we have some personal experience with several of this place's senior people. Having said that, we noticed with approval that we were not granted any special status and that all the guests enjoyed the exact same personal experience. Plans are already underway for a longer stay in the not too distant future. We know that we will not be disappointed.

Everything you need, ok location
Overall a great place to stay - beds were a bit hard and local area didn't have heaps of options for food or shopping but only about 10 minute walk to get to more options. Staff were amazingly helpful, breakfast buffet was delicious, Pool was wonderful and happy hour was much appreciated:) would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again! :)

It started out ok, we got upgraded to a family room but that was because we booked a twin bed but got a double bed. Not really ideal for two big guys. Then I noticed all the ants in my bed, not happy about that. Laundry service was overpriced. Staff was always smiling and ready to assist though.

I had been emailing back and forth about being picked up at the bus station, but eventually no-one came and blamed me for not calling them from the bus station. Even though they knew with what bus company I was arriving with, what time and where. Not good service. But in general, the staff was very friendly and helpful with everything, also when I told them that my bathroom was not cleaned after the previous guests, they had someone come in and clean it immediately. I really liked their free shuttle bus service to town (ran every hour), to get you closer to the old town and/or back. It was worth it, since it was raining heavily when I stayed here. I booked some massages and they were superb. Breakfast buffet was very good.

The room and hotel are well designed with a most attractive pool, lift, breakfast/dining area. While I was there the hotel seemed to be undergoing some kind of minor refurbishment/major clean-up and housekeeping trolleys and maintenance equipment were forever clogging the hallways. Not a major issue, just messy. The breakfast was excellent but don't expect it to get really underway until 6.30 at the earliest which can be an issue with early departing tours. When I checked out there was only one young woman who seemed to be authorised to tot up the guests' bills. With a particularly pernickety tour group this was a lengthy process and of course we were all on deadlines. She did her absolute best, was unfailingly courteous (depsite patronising provocation in some cases) but the system was at fault. There were plenty of available staff, indeed one of them managed to put my bag on the tour coach which I fortunately noticed before they departed, but no-one else seemed to be authorised to prepare the accounts. But overall I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly, genuinely helpful and the facilities and service (apart from check-out) was excellent.

Modern Hoi An Hotel with great price and staff!
The hotel isn't located in the city centre (near the main bus terminal but in between the old town and An Bang beach) but is within walking distance to downtown (about 15-20 minute walk). It has shuttle services (based on request) every 1-2 hours which makes it up for its location. It also shuttle services to the beach twice per day which is great during summer! The modern Vietnamese style room is spacious and pretty. It has everything you need and the bed is just comfortable, firm and solid! The bathroom is big and has a deep soaking tub which I enjoyed a lot. The rate also includes buffet breakfast which offers a good selection of fruits, eggs, bread and other items but make sure you go early because during the late morning, the staff wouldn't refill certain items/fruits. Service of staff was good when i stayed there except different front desk staff would often try to sell you tours or arrange airport transfers through them a couple times daily! This could get a bit annoying especially after a long day of sightseeing but you could just turn the staff down nicely and it would be fine :) . Overall I really enjoyed my stay there and think it is totally worth the value!

I would have given full rating for this hotel but unfortunately the breakfast, though buffet, is somewhat neglected as though it is not an important part of the hospitality on offer. I am very grateful to the helpful front desk staff for their free upgrade to deluxe room.

Nice hotel close to the ancient Hoi An
The hotel is located on Hai Ba Trung st. which leads straight to the ancient Hoi An town within 20 mins walking. We went by no. 1 bus from Danang to Hoi An and the final bus stop was just about 3 mins away from the hotel (by taxi). Our room was clean, comfortable, with very good view. Though we were not welcomed by smiling face at the first, she gave us all the needed information for the stay and other staff members were good so overall I can surely recommend this hotel to my friends!

Like Hoi an hotel was a great stay, the hotel was able to check us in at 8am which was great after an overnight bus. The breakfast had a good variety and the food was nice. The hotel offers free shuttle to town and free bike rental which was very handy. The location is a little out of the way but that is when the free bikes or the free shuttle is an advantage. They do try to sell you there tours quite often but lets face it this is Asia who doesnt try to sell you everything. I would recommend stay here, the price is right and service is good.

Very positive stay, your space is respected and the hotel is very high in standard compared to other Hoi An hotels in the same price range. A little pushy when it came to suggesting of tours, taxi companies, etc. Were a little dishonest about arrangements we made for a private car- ommitted information , i guess in case we decided to not use it had we known what we wanted to do wasn't actually possible. Thats Asia for you though. Clean rooms, friendly professional staff. Breakfast was great for how cheap the hotel was! Allowed us to use bikes on the day we checked out, even after we had done so- which was well appreciated!

Like Hoi An was an excellent hotel. The rooms were spacious with huge bathrooms, and were well maintained and clean. The location was a little far from the centre of town and the beautiful Ancient Village, but was still within walking distance if you missed the regular free shuttle bus provided by the hotel. The buffet breakfast was decent, with eggs cooked to order and a different local dish offered each day, as well as the buffet food. Jessica, on the reception desk was lovely, kind and had a great sense of humour, and ensured we had everything we needed while staying at Like Hoi An. She gave us some great advice and booked our tour and private driver for the same price as we could find anywhere around town. The pool was lovely and clean, and Peter the F&B Manager was a perfect gentleman. We were well-looked after while we cooled off and enjoyed some freshly-made cocktails. Like Hoi An was a great hotel for a very good price. We enjoyed the friendly staff and spacious, clean rooms. The pool and free shuttle bus were great bonuses!

We stayed here for 5 nights. We liked the location, 15 minute walk to the town and about the same to cycle to the beach. They have free bikes to use which was good, free breakfast which was ok and the rooms were spacey and kept to a decent level. The problem was the staff, we hadn't even checked in when staff wanted to know when we were leaving to "book our taxi". Look in the town, it was much cheaper. If you wanted to hire the bikes they wanted to know your exact route, if you were heading into town, they always knew a tailor they wanted to 'recommend'. We had to cross over to rude which made us feel uneasy to get staff to understand that we were not interested. One staff member in particlar hung around a lot which made my other half feel very uncomfortable. We had lunch there once, after finding two hairs in my meal I couldn't finish it. Some staff members where kind and helpful however you witnessed others who would start shouting at them in Vietnamese and all of a sudden they couldn't supply you with directions to the post office but if you give them so many dollars, they could make sure it was 'posted for you'. This, being nosy and pushy let the hotel down, they may have lots of smiles for you but it all feels very uncomfortable and fake. We didn't even get to make use of the pool as other guests continuously spat in it. If you do cycle to the beach, they don't tell you you have to pay to park the bike. Check the price first as it differs.

Great hotel. Amazing room. Nice pool (but not that many sunbeds). Free bicycles. And very velcoming and friendly staff. It's located a little 10 min. walk from the old town. The breakfast and restaurant was so so. Don't expect to much. But that's the only downside. This is a great value for money hotel.

DO NOT BOOK. TERRIBLE PEOPLE. BICYCLE SCAM.
Hotel itself was outside the center, and too far of a walk (and not a pleasant one). So they have bicycles you can rent out. THIS IS A SCAM/TRAP. DO NOT RENT. They tell you "sometimes bicycles get stolen so make sure you lock it", which should have been a sign not to take it. Well, sure enough, we parked the bicycles where all other bicycles were parked on the street and LOCKED IT, and when we came back, it was gone. We went back to the hotel and showed them the keys and explained where we parked. Without hesitation or any help in trying to locate the bicycle, they quickly told us we had to pay about $300 US. These bikes are old garbage...brand new at Walmart would be $60 max in the US...probably about $15 max in Vietnam, but they tried to hold our passports hostage until we paid the $300. On top of that, we had paid for their expensive taxi back to the airport the next day, and of course it did not come in time. We almost missed our flight, probably so we would come back and stay another night...as if anyone would want to come back here. Hotel staff guy was very rude and should not be the face of the hotel. Terrible experience and the worst people I've ever met in Vietnam.

The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk out of the 'main town'. However if you don't feel like walking, the hotel offers a free shuttle bus every hour between 8am and 10pm between their other hotel right in the town. Fair selection of breakfast. Swimming pool (but no shade over it). Able to organise private taxi ($17) to Da Nan for onward travel.They also recommend a good tailor. While the area is quiet, the hotel 'wakes up' around 0700, and the noise travels through the halls. The MB (military bank) atm is half way between the hotel and town, it offers large withdrawals and no fee (all other atm's restrict withdrawal amount and charge for it). Solar hot water wasn't very hot. Staff were lovely and remember your name, very helpful but not at all pushy.
