"The views on the balcony were awesome, you could relax and watch the surfers and boogie boarders. The private bedroom was perfect when you have people that are on different sleep schedules."

"This is a very nice hotel in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i. Our room was large and very clean, with comfy beds, large bathroom, a sitting/working area, small dining area, and a small coffee station. The coffee station had a kurig coffee machine, small sink, microwave, and a refrigerator. This allowed us to store/prepare simple quick meals when we didn’t feel like going out to eat. The hotel has a hot tub and a pool, all very well maintained and very clean. The towels are provided at the front desk. Full breakfast was provided with our room in a large breakfast area. The hotel is located within convenient walking distance from the bay-front street with shopping and dining options. This allowed us to leave our car at the hotel and walk to the Kona bay pier, and shopping centre without worrying about parking the car on a busy street. The staff of the hotel was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is located approx 15 min from the Kona airport. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone! "Overall our stay at The Royal Kona Resort was amazing. Our ocean front view from our balcony was incredible. As they say.....location, location, location. The Luau on the property was great. Our dinners at Don's Maitai and tiki bar were the best. Really only one complaint. They have a 2 cup coffee maker in the room. We went to Walmart on the first night and bought a $13 12 cup coffee maker.Problem solved."

"This was our second time staying at the Kona Castle Reef . This oceanfront unit was comfortable, tidy and an excellent layout. Some of the lighting fixtures seemed dated and Could use replacement . Having the bbq’s there as an alternative cooking option was fantastic. We can’t wait to visit again next year and hopefully secure the same unit as we did this time ."
