It was quite run down and for the price very basic. The air con was like a jet engine. No face washers supplied in bathroom. Shower head broken. Bed very bouncy! Staff were all really friendly. Pool was nice.

The apartments are a very short stroll to the beach which had life guards. Close enough to Surfers but not too close so no noise. The property is in good condition but the WIFI is very slow with 1.5gb daily limit. We have stayed here before and really enjoyed it.

Great weekend away
Stayed for the weekend. Great location. as quite central to where I had to be. Was very easy to get to the beach, as easily within 5-10mins walking distance. Staff were happy to communicate all necessary information required to get around. Very well presented and clean room. Would be happy to stay again.

"space" living area, for a one person apartment - was not a "cubicle. Has a balcony, can open windows, has a laundry, - tv in bedroom, power points beside bed easy to plug in chargers.

Road Trip Melbourne - Sunshine Coast
Few points here - starting with positives 1. We were 2 mins walk to Main Beach which is great. 2. The apartment building itself is very good with some great facilities - tennis, pool, gardens etc 3. The kitchen was well equipped & big enough for a couple 4. Very close to the Main Beach restaurant area - some great places there The not-so-positive side 1. The room turned out to be on the side that gets no sun (should get western sun but the building behind stops that). 2. By booking through Hotels.com the room level booked put us in that category of room - this is one thing the booking sites like Hotels really need to lift their game on so the customer knows the downside of the price trade off - we'd have been better going direct & paying maybe more to get what we want. 3. Gold Coast had a few days cold snap when we arrived and they don't seem to be geared up to cater for this - so that combined with point 2 made it a bit uncomfortable heat wise. Their heating in the 1 bedroom appts is very loud and not very effective. They gave us a portable heater which clearly wasn't checked as it didn't work - didn't bother to raise the issue. 4. The appt wasn't the cleanest we've ever stayed in and 2 outside chairs were covered in bird poo but we didn't use the balcony because of the cold snap so didn't raise this at the time. 5. Suggest rooms are checked more frequently for usability - eg cleanliness, no dvd remote, balcony chairs, room bins dirty.

Dear Frank, we are pleased to hear that you liked the complex and its proximity. But we're disappointed to read your negatives, especially as we addressed every concern you raised during your stay. Yes, there was an unexpected issue with the ducted air con in your apartment which we immediately phoned the repairman to come in to fix when we were notified, unfortunately items can fail at short notice. As the repairman couldn't get in immediately we provided you with 3 additional Queen blankets and a portable heater which, had been checked and it was working when it was given to you. It is not our practice to provide something without having checked it prior. When the Manager took the repairman up to the apartment it was extremely hot inside. Re your apartment - you had booked a 1 bedroom apartment and were allocated such. The 1 bedroom is a south facing apartment and does not get a lot of sun during the time period of your stay due to the season sun angles. The medium that you booked through has no bearing on room allocation and to say such is not correct. Our complex is catered for cold weather with both pools being heated, ducted air con throughout, etc. We would appreciate you being more specific on cleanliness of the apartment as we take this onboard as continual improvement with our housekeeping team. Our Housekeeping team is highly regarded throughout the industry and works with us for continual improvement. Please let us assure you that an arrival check is always undertaken and, in your case, had been completed by the Team prior to your arrival. Kind Regards The Team at The Crest Apartments

Very central clean and tidy, pool area great slightly heated indoor pool heated. Mattress abit hard could doo with a memory foam topper. Would stay again.

Disappointing But Great Location
The location was great, quiet but very central to most things. Our first impression of our apartment was looks good but after staying in it for a few days we realised it was tired with worn out appliances. Bed was comfortable with nice quality linen. The biggest disappointment was the internet, it’s advertised as free internet but on the 4th morning if our 5 day stay we had no internet and on enquiring we were told it is limited internet and we would have to pay if we wanted anymore. Out of the many apartments we have stayed in over many years we have never had this problem.

We are extremely disappointed to read your review and cannot understand how you state that the apartment you stayed in was tired with worn out appliances as this apartment is highly sought after and usually has a waitlist as the owners of this apartment are continually upgrading everything in their apartment with the highest quality furniture and appliances. The apartment you stayed in has all new furniture (including outdoor furniture) and appliances - the only appliance left to upgrade in the kitchen is the gas cook top which is still working correctly. With regard to the internet it is clearly advertised on our website that there is free Wifi with data limits and the team would have explained this to you on check in that the data limit is sufficient for checking your emails but not for streaming movies or music. We are sorry that we could not meet your expectations on this occasion.

The unit I lived in is old and tiring. It requires a bit of maintenance work or replacing some amenities such as air conditionings and cook top. Small things such as the dining chairs leather are worn out and falling apart. The outdoor chairs are broken. Missing utensils such as knife. As guests we can live with it, but it feels that the accommodation doesn’t worth the price we paid for. The property manager is good and trying their best to make sure the guests are comfortable. However given the apartment conditions, there are very limit things that they could do. Overall I do not know how the accommodation get over 4 out of 5 reviews.

Loved the location - between Tedder Avenue and the beach. Easy walk to the tram and also bus service. The room was very clean and very well eqiuped. Had a problem with the blinds but they were repaired instantly. We found the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We thoroughly loved our stay. Only negative - our bed was soft and only a double size, we are use to a very firm queen size.

Very good stay
Staff were very helpful, phoned us to check if we were needing key put in night safe, very friendly. Apartment was immaculate and clean, furniture and kitchenware all new. Nice pool with sauna. Located just up the road from some great restaurants. Gave us some sweets for our trip home!

Perfect for my needs!
My husband and I stayed at Crest apartment for 6 nights during the ITU World Championships on the Gold Coast. I chose the area because I'd stayed there 10y before and it was handy to the race site and training areas. I'd stay here again - it was roomy (2 br), bright, clean, and had everything we needed, including secure underground parking, all kitchen needs, in-unit laundry facilities and a large sunny balcony facing northeast. The management staff were helpful, but make sure you know exactly what hours the front desk will be open as they are limited. It would have been helpful to have "how to use" instructions posted next to the gas range and maybe a note about the rubbish/recycling disposal posted clearly in the kitchen. We weren't made aware that there was a folder with instructions/information about the unit available to us and didn't see it till the last day. It was a short walk to Tedder Ave where there are a few restaurants, and shops; and a 3 minute drive to Australia Fair for groceries other shops. There are great running trails out to the spit of Main Beach, some paved, some packed dirt/sand. The rental fee was reasonable for the area and given the fact that it was 2 bedrooms. I'd recommend this place for one or 2 couples or a family of 4.

Lovely apartment, Sea Views
Spacious, clean with everything needed for a stay views of the sea from the room not just the balcony. Organised late check in advance without any problems The staff were friendly & helpful yet again and recognised me from my stay at earlier in the year. Only issue was noisey neighbours banging and shouting and very drunk at 3:30am Sunday morning. But you get those everywhere unfortunately.

Winter Warm Up
We have stayed at Crest before and have always enjoyed the experience. We chose a one bedroom apartment, which in hindsight was not a good idea in winter as they receive very little sun. A two bedroom with northerly aspect would have been a much better choice. Our unit #29 was showing its age, with the washing machine and oven in particular showing signs of wear and tear. Bed was very comfortable, but the TV's were ancient and unable to receive HD channels. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Great location
Great location only a short walk to Tedder Ave where there is a choice of restaurants and cafés. Great views from our apartment on the 7th floor. Friends and family were also staying there, so we saw their apartments too. The management are currently renovating the apartments. Ours could have done with some "TLC" but was still very comfortable. Our friends stayed in a newly renovated apartment, it was done out beautifully. Short walk to MacIntosh Park and the beach. Tram is about a 5 minute walk. Overall a great place to stay. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

Stunning Location Friendly Staff
Everything about our 4 night stay at The Crest was wonderful. From the minute we arrived the staff were friendly, helful, polite and efficient. Our 8th floor one bed apartment was clean, comfortable and well equiped. It was quiet with no night time noise issues. We had both sea and inland views. It was just the two of us but a family would be happy enough with 2 swimming pools, games room and tennis court. Great cafes, restaurants and shops within easy 10 minute walking distance as is the tram stop to everything else. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location, and awesome facilities
We stayed at apartments close to the beach and close to nice shops. The facilities were fantastic with clean pools, spas and surrounds. The apartment was very well presented and had everything you need. Beautiful holiday here.

Lovely accommodation for the 5 of us
We came to the Gold Coast for whale watching with a french exchange student and were delighted with the hotel. The staff were friendly and the room exceeded our expectations. The balcony view was great! We had a busy itinerary so did not have time to utilise the hotel amenities much, but my daughter enjoyed the indoor pool.

In regards to the exhaust fan in the bathrooms, they do work, however due fire and OH&S regulations, they work differently then they would in a house. Good clean establishment close to everything.
We received a text message in the afternoon telling us our rooms were ready before the normal checkin time which enabled us to checkin early. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient and had us checked in in no time. The lifts are the best I have seen anywhere and I have seen a lot of lifts, you use your key to access the buttons and the lift will only allow you to go to your floor, good security but inconvenient if you want to go watch a game in someone else's unit. The room was a 2 bedroom unit on the 9th floor and was well furnished and had a full kitchen. The main bedroom had a comfortable bed and floor to ceiling windows that gave a great view, if a little nervy if you don't like heights. The 2nd bedroom and the ensuite to the main bedroom were locked (something I find a bit rude, gives the impression we are an unwanted guest and only deserve the bare minimum) so I don't know what they were like. The kitchen had a full size fridge and plenty of utensils and appliances, although the microwave and toaster have probably reached their use by date. The lounge furniture was very comfortable and the TV had enough channels to keep us entertained. The facilities were good with a swimming pool and tennis courts for those so inclined and the games room/library had a pool table and a good selection of books. The gym was well equipped with the usual array of machines and enough for half a dozen people at once. Tedder Avenue was a 2 minute walk away with good food

In regards to the appliances in the unit, we are aware that some are getting towards their use by date. We are currently in the process of upgrading some of these appliances to ensure that the apartments are kept modern. As the apartments are individually owned, it is sometimes hard for the owner to agree to making necessary upgrades, however we have made a note of your apartment and we will be sure to pass it onto the owners. Had a quick trip. Room was nice. Staff were friendly. Kids liked the size of the room and separate bedrooms, which is always easier to get them to sleep.

Close to beach.
Nice apartment. Short time driving to shops, restaurants. About 5 mins driving to the Sea world. Close to beach free market. Good view. Convenient parking space. If you stay a bit longer, like more than 5days, you'd better have your own towel, shampoo etc.

Recommended and good value
We had 8 days and the all the furniture was comfortable, including the bed. Staff on the front desk were helpful and informed. It was a short walk to a patrolled beach and the tram was only a 4 minute walk away which connected you to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre,Cavill Avenue, various beaches and the airport. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the area. We will definitly return.
