The property was dated and room furniture definitely needs an update. Great service, especially with Selwyn and other pool bar staff. Need to learn some updated cocktails, like Aperol Spritz.

Hotel was good but definitely not a 5 star. Location was great the beach and pool area are lovely. The only downside is the poolside food wasn’t great and staff were very slow at serving food and some drinks they have to get from the main hotel so you have to wait just to get a fruit juice. Otherwise we were happy with the breakfast. A good range of food. We were there for new years and they had a fabulous party set up on the grounds with so many food options, a live band, dance floor etc. Other than this the Orel is quite and had very little entertainment in the evenings

We had a great stay at this lovely property. Considering a five star, it’s a decent property with a nice location. I would stay the property itself is great but the rooms are not luxury enough. We were out most of the day enjoying the amenities and the beach so it didn’t hurt us but if I wanted to stay in the room, it’s not five star.

The overall property customer service is very poor and not worthy of a VIP access hotel. Offered a very bad quality room (smelly, dusty, etc.). Eventually changed room after 1 day because they just didn't have rooms available. Was not offered a late checkout, and then offered one at a very high price (almost USD 75) for an extra hour or so. This hotel should be removed from VIP access list. Thanks.

App does not provides misleading information. This app charges lot more than what the actual rooms goes for in Hotel. Booked room with garden room and got view with wall , after negotiations with Hotel manager we managed to change our room to actual garden view. Bathrooms were stinky and very old.

We had planned a family re-union after several years, and 17 of us came together in Goa (from different parts of India and the US), booking 7 rooms at this hotel, paying a total bill of about 4 lakhs, for a stay of 4 nights (2nd Jan 2022 to 6th Jan 2022). What followed, unfortunately, was unfortunate, unprofessional, and not at all expected from a reputed 5 star property. Amongst us, there were 5 senior citizens (well above 70 years of age each) and a 6th who had just got away from the ICU and was looking forward to a holiday with family, peace and quiet. Without any warning whatsoever, the hotel started renovation work. This was in the form of LOUD and CONTINUOUS drilling and banging right on top of our heads. Calls to the reception were met with empty promises like ... we will stop the work immediately, etc etc... none of which happened. This was at 3.30 pm, in the middle of the hot afternoon. We couldn't go out due to the heat, and staying in was nothing less than torture. Long story short – despite escalations to Duty Manager, project Manager, etc - nothing changed for 3 days, and finally I changed my flight (at considerable personal expense), and checked out a day early. Never again will we make the mistake of going to Kenilworth, and I have told everyone I know the same thing. There are plenty of great properties out there that treat customers with the honesty that they deserve!

Check in was not so smooth... The girl at the reception was trying to delay the check in saying rooms are not cleant , while rooms were available ... and palm off a Christmas Brunch on us which we did not want , but under pressure they had to abort the same . Room cleanliness & upkeep needs to be improved , some days enough towels also were not kept in the rooms , work is going on in many rooms and the hotel needs a very prompt update to be called a Five star Resort... Breakfast facilities are limited and you could see guests standing out side for a long time to get the breakfast tables and even eating it like a buffet stating inside the hall , but on our request the F&B managers took the matter very seriously and the next day we could see a marked improvement in the same. Feels many of the staff are in experienced and new , may be because of the extended closure during Corona times... Even at the pools enough towels are not available and many of us had to wait a long time to get the towels... Staff at many locations were a lot casual in their approach , may be they need more training and guidance. They can do a lot better if they want to keep up their status of a 5 star....

It was a great stay. However, hotel is old now and that shows. But, they have now started renovating it part by part. Swimming pool of the hotel is among the best and is very large. Breakfast served was vey good. Italian restaurant was not fully operational but served us great Italian Pizza and pasta. The chef was especially very enthusiastic. Indian restaurant has limited menu and that disappointed us to some extent.

The entrance to the property is gorgeous. Staff is kind and courteous. Quick check in. Over all the property is old and run down. Rooms and bathroom is quite small. Balcony is tiny too! Beds are comfortable. The hotel could use an uplift for sure.

Bottomline: DEFINITELY NOT WORTHY OF 5 STAR RATING Either stay at a better known 5 star resort if this is a special vacation - we should have done that. Otherwise save your money and book any average 3 star hotel because thats what this is comparable to. Cons: Poor rooms, uncomfortable mattress / pillows. I know other 5 star resorts in the area that offer a menu for different kinds of pillows. Room locks kept malfunctioning - had to get keys reprogrammed multiple times. Pool was completely unattended everytime we went - we had to clean our own poolside chairs and get our own towels on each visit. Restaurant staff never heard of decaf coffee - we asked multiple people. Room service staff kept knocking on multiple occassions when "Do not Disturb" sign was on - only to check the minibar. This was in the middle of our visit, not the day of checkout. Pros: Breakfast buffet was good. Staff was friendly but were clearly completely untrained.

My wife and I came for close friends wedding on the beach here at Kenilworth. The food, facilities, staff, rooms and whole property - not to mention jon the location, were amazing.

Relax after two weeks of manic India
We had a fantastic time, great facilities, polite and diligent staff. The hotel has a lovely pool, beach and i would definitely go again. We visited Kenilworth Beach Resort at the end of our tour of India and it was a much needed break from the 24/7 madness that is India. Its very close to the airport which is also a bonus.

Our stay in Goa at this hotel was amazing! It had great service, yet limited on-site food places to eat at. Breakfast was great as well. A few restaurants were close by in walking distance from the beaches.

We love Kenilworth!
We love Kenilworth! This is a fantastic resort and our favorite hotel out of many we visited in Goa. It has a beautiful relaxing pool (although the pool closes too early), a great restaurant, we even had live music entertainment while we ate dinner! It was fantastic.

Pool area undergoing updating, rooms looking a little tired now, but still clean and comfortable. Plenty of choice in restaurant, easy access to the beach. Pool area good with plenty of sun loungers.

Close to the beach but not clean
The hotel is on a very clean beach but the hotel 'campus' is not clean. There is bird poop all over the hotel outdoors near pool area. The pool isn't that big. Even inside the hotel, there is filth like matchsticks in hotel lobby. It's not worth the price. For just a little more, you can great experience at next door Hyatt.

Fix the Property
Hotel is in need of repairs. The rooms are good, but it seems like they are trying to fix the property which is old. Pavements on the grounds are uneven and unfinished. The lawns are partial. The swimming pool floor has broken tiles. The windows on the balconies has cement work done but not painted. The pictures of the property look 10 times better than the actual property. Also, they are not very good at insect control. Had mosquitoes in the hallway and room. The staff is nice and friendly, they kind of made up for these issues. The breakfast is good, Indian items are expectedly well made but the western items such as waffles, pancakes etc. are terrible. The hotel is also in the south side of Goa and therefore not much happening outside the hotel. It would take a cab ride to go to Panjim to find some excitement, good food. The funny thing is that the issues this hotel has are easily fixable, and that too quickly, but the management is probably not investing. One final tip: if you do stay at the hotel, make sure that you get a balcony view facing the lawns inside of the property. All other views are terrible.

the worst experience that i face from long time
The experience in this hotel was very bad They ruined my newyear party celebration by forcing me to pay 400$ not refundble to celebrate gala dinner in this hotel Hotel is 5 star but acutly people who rate this resort and gave them high rate i guess they dont know what is 5 star hotelmeans Room is dirty very old furniture most of stuff not hospitility like in other indian hotel Food is good nature around this hotel is nice too but dirty pools a lot of owls and tree sticks all over Prices in hotel little bit high tax 32% positive things in hotel rare like mr joy and ivrel they was helpful big thank for them they gave me late check out Last thing if you want to spend time out of world go stay there because its away from life and in the night there is adventure to walk 50m away you will spend alot of money to have taxi to pick you to city center i pay one day 8 hours same amount of money i paid in one way trip to city center and you have to because its a vacation and no night life after 7 in the evening all neighboor stays and there hotels

Extremely unhappy with the stay, Money Wasted!
Extremely unhappy with the stay, It was a mistake to select this resort. Please do not visit this resort. I had been to other resorts in GOA which are far under rated and provide better service than Kenilworth. I have wasted my money! a. Requested to change the room and was offered a stinking room with bad/unclean bead sheet and leakage on wall. b. Took 3 hours to get new room and that took we need to ask multiple times for the same. Reached hotel at 3.30 and allocated room was given at 6.30 c. Need to check room and then request them for individual stuff like napkins, towels, Soap, etc. d. Charges for pool table was taken, I have seen first resort which charges for amenities used. e. Asked help desk for information on nearby disco and pubs, they promised to revert back in 15 minutes but never call or gave information. f. Help Desk informed that water sports are not started but it was started in nearby beaches No one was bothered to ask feedback while leaving, but the staff was greedily look for tips... Hope to hear from the management, if they are concerned.
