"Easily accessible by public transportation, perfectly situated between the Old City and the Art Nouveau district, the Metropole is one of Riga's best hotels. Yet it is surprisingly affordable. Rooms are small, but the hotel dates from a time when rooms were just for sleeping. Public spaces are attractive and clean. Staff is multilingual and attentive. The "Gastropub" De Commerce 1871 should receive better notice: it's a lovely space with first class continental dishes and an excellent bar."

"Lovely modern and clean hotel a very short walk from the railway station. Next door to a huge mall with restaurants. Easily walking distance to the old town and the main city attractions. Great bed, slept extremely well, the room was super quiet even though it was overlooking the main road. Breakfast was very good. "

"I would say that this is the best location for visiting Riga's old town and the parks in the center of the city. It is very conveniently located, not too loud either. Restaurants, coffee shops are all there. The room was small, but clean, and the price was right! I have seen other hotels in old town and I am glad I chose this one."
