"The ac did not work. I pointed this to the person who dropped of our bags. He claimed he changed the mode so it should be working. It did not! About 30 minutes later i complained to the front desk, who assured me that a maintenance person will look into it. When i checked back after dinner before heading to the room the same person he said it has been fixed. It was not! It was warmer in the room that outside. Hoodwinking guests like this is not expected from the Mercure brand :-("

"Good experience overall. Staff was friendly and room was in good condition. The breakfast was also good, and reasonably priced (I paid separately from the room). My main gripe would be with the checkout experience, as it took an oddly long time (almost 20 minutes). Also i would not recommend using their airport ride service. I had asked in advance to have a ride to the airport at 7. I showed up to check out shortly before 7, and when I was done there around 7:15, I was told the ride would...

"Elegant hotel, friendly and helpful staff, the single room was large enough, the bed comfortable, the bathroom a tat old but functional, perfect location right by Sayaji Gardens, 5min from the train station, I cannot fault this hotel, will be back on my next trip to Vadodara."
