Independent, City Centre North Hotels

Great stay with a group of girlfriends. Had 6 person en suite room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location was great. We walked to many attractions. Overall a great stay. Would stay again.

Everyone at this hotel was great to us. You can't beat the location, it's close to almost everything. Price was great, except St. Patrick's day night, which is to be expected. The food downstairs was good, and very reasonably priced. Our receptionist, Silvana was a gem! Jimmy, Ben, and Michael in the bar were fantastic as well! Very helpful and friendly. We look forward to going back someday!

This hotel was lovely, with very friendly staff. The only fault was the noise at night from traffic etc, which could easily be resolved with double glazing. The breakfast was simply delicious served with a smile.

There are many things to like in this hostel. Very good wifi. Very good breakfast. The guest kitchen provides free coffee. The small grocery store next door provides very good hot sandwiches. If you need razor blades walk out the front door, dogleg up Wellington Street and turn right and go to the Arab store. The bad thing is that anything you do not put into a locker may be stolen. I stayed for 14 days. I know of two stolen laptops, one wallet and credit cards, a gold chain, and two cameras which were stolen. there may have been more. Vandals smashed the downstairs window to guest kitchen area twice. The water in the showers is extremely hot and it cannot be adjusted.

Nice, clean hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Complimentary transfer to the airport with Paddy Wagon. Could not find fault with our stay at the Celtic Lodge and we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We flew in from California and arrived at the hotel at 10 a.m., much earlier than check-in time. The manager let us have a room right away, taking pity on our jet-lagged state. We were so happy with the location, right in the heart of Dublin. It was an easy walk to many sights and loads of shopping and dining choices.

i stayed at the hotel for five nights, at a room for one. it's a little cramped, but if you're not going to spend much time at the hotel, as in my case, this is not a very big problem. still, the tiny shower&WC might not satisfy everyone. the personell were friendly and helpful.

This hotel is perfect for somebody travelling alone or couples who just want cheap no nonsense accomodation. I was travelling to Dublin solo for a concert and just wanted somewhere budget which was clean, friendly, safe, comfortable and serves a good breakfast. I found all of these at Barry's which is also right in the centre of the city and convenient to everything. I'll definitely stay again.

Clean, warm, breakfast included, wonderfully friendly staff. Myself and my girlfriend were very happy with the service and quality of this hotel, which was better than we expected for such a budget price. Location is excellent, a stones throw from O'Connell Street. Breakfast was a menu selection, and is served until 9:45am. Hotel is in good condition and there was always a friendly face at the reception to give advice. Thanks guys for a great place to stay!

It was a very nice hotel. I am an American tourist. I felt it was reasonably priced for a cheap college student and it looked like an expensive hotel. It was located right off the bus from the airport shuttle ( 10 euros round trip) and also literally 3 minutes into the start of the city. I would recommend this place to anybody. they were really helpful. the staff showed us a flier for a FREE waling tour, so we did that to see the sites. so stay here. :) Also the bed was amazingly comfortable, not a nice view out the window but who was worried about looking out some window on vacation. also the hotel looks JUST like the nice pictures on their website, which was surprising.
