Our check-in experience was far from acceptable. Our counter person struggled to input our information correctly, and after signing off on my credit card, I was told there was an error and the transaction needed to be processed again. After a lengthy period of time straightening out our charges (with the help of another counter attendant), we were directed to our room. We didn't realize we were not instructed on the location of hotel amenities such as pool, ice machines or dining areas. After exploring the hotel on our own, we figured those things out ... no big deal. However, going down for our complimentary breakfast the following morning, we were told that we needed to present the breakfast vouchers given to us at check-in. Needless to say, we received no vouchers, another oversight of the counter attendant at check-in. Our attempt to explain fell on deaf ears, so ultimately we needed to find another restaurant in the area for breakfast ... inconvenient, and now we're out another $30. The complimentary breakfast promised during our booking was a contributing factor as to why we chose this hotel in the first place. Obviously, staff should be fully trained in order to prevent this type of oversight from happening.
