"Expectation and reality did not match. For the price we paid, we expected a true 5-star experience, but this resort fell short in many ways. The hotel is new and clean, but that alone isn’t enough. The biggest disappointment was the food. The buffet and à la carte restaurants lacked variety, and many dishes were bland, overcooked, or rubbery. The steakhouse, despite being the hardest restaurant to book, was one of the worst meals of our trip. Although the food improved somewhat later in the week, it still wasn’t what we expected. If you’ve stayed at other RIU resorts, don’t expect the same alcohol quality. Room dispensers and many pool drinks used local brands unless premium liquor was specifically requested. Families should know this resort feels more suited to older guests. The kids’ club was tiny, activities were limited, advertised kids’ parties didn’t always happen, and the children’s pool is really only suitable for toddlers. The highlight of our stay was Josias from the buffet. His service was exceptional. On our last evening, he surprised us with a beautifully decorated table and told us, “I was waiting for you. It’s your last evening.” Without him, this trip would have been remembered only as a disappointment. We’ve stayed at other Riu properties before and had much better experiences. This resort may still be finding its footing, but right now it doesn’t live up to the standards and consistency we expected from the Riu brand."

"This is our favorite resort to travel to for an unplug vacation. The amenities (including the rooms, spa, and gym) are clean and well maintained. The food it quite good for an all inclusive resort. Iw ould highly recommend doing the wellness package as this gives you access to much more quite/private parts of the resort. This was our second trip and we will be back again next year."
