"Georgous old building and the room was huge with 20ft ceilings. great bed and quiet which was surprising being next to main road. minor issue is the breakfast was alacarte not buffet and the waitress couldn't understand what filtered coffee was??? i will stay again"

"The location suited me very well. Close to the Botanic Gardens and an easy walk to the river and the CBD. And to the Riverside dining area. Also walkable to the South bank for galleries and museum. The bedroom was spacious. Room service was responsive. The swimming pool was fine but would be better if it had changing facilities. The hotel is not overly modern. I would recommend it."

"Good to have two double beds. However, tiles in shower are slippery. No rubber mat in room but supplied when asked for. Needs to be much bigger to cover the walk-in part of the shower. A must for my 84 year old mother. More Earl Grey tea bags too - only one compared to 4 ordinary ones. Otherwise, well appointed room, good food - dinner and breakfast - and very helpful and friendly staff."

"Overnight trip for work. Very easy to park my car. Room was clean and spacious. I ate in the cafe and the food was really good. All staff were very courteous and helpful, both when I called to ask a question in advance of my stay and in person. I'd definitely recommend."
