"I got there extremely early and they were gracious enough to have me check in before the time which I was grateful for because I had an eventful night ahead of me and I definitely needed as much sleep as I could get. The staff is kind and deals with everyone according to their needs. "

"This is a no-frills hotel. However we had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in our room. VERY spacious. Staff were friendly and at the front desk when we needed them to be there. A lady came to our door once to see if we needed fresh towels (we were there for 6 days). We will stay here on a return visit. Thanks Pier Blue staff"

"This motel was very recently painted and redecorated by the family who owns it. Immaculate cleanliness, friendliness, and reasonable rates for just outside New Haven. Easy to find off the highway and a decent diner nearby. We would definitely stay here again, preferred to the major chains."

"This is the best bare bones hotel from the 50's you will ever find. The bed is very comfortable, the shower head is amazing and the water hot. Clean and price can't be beat. The only reason I have trouble rating is that it is on the road and not very quiet, but the heat/AC unit is a great sound barrier to that. Being right across the street from the police station gives you an extra sense of safety but as a female person alone, I did put the coffee table up against the door which goes...
