We spent a night at the Glencoe Inn so that we could explore Glencoe. It is extremely convenient as a location for that. Little pricey as an exclusive option in that area, but the room was spacious and well kept. Cute restaurants attached. Petrol station and convenience store next door. It’s right on the highway but not too much noise. Staff was very friendly. Overall great stay and we would choose them again if exploring Glencoe.

Charming in a very area appropriate and old school way (there was a rotary phone in the room and fire places warming the common areas). It was so warm and welcoming. My teenage son loved it and I can't over state how comfortable the property felt. The two different women at the front desk were very friendly,helpful, and gave great guidance on local hiking.

The best stay I have had in all of scotland on a 8 day trip from canada. Very impressed with the accommodations. No need to go anywhere but here for supper as well. Which is very convenient.

On tour ( NC500) mid point stay
We arrived too early to check in but had a nice drink on the patio in glorious sunshine. The staff were very nice, polite and professional. Whilst our room was clean and had everything you would need for a stay, it was small and felt a bit cramped, wouldn’t have suited us if we were staying for more than one night. The restaurant was of a good standard, food tasty and the staff were great. Plenty to choose on the menu plus a good wine list. Views of the fantastic location out of nearly every window, is defiantly a winner.

This beautiful, quiet property is the perfect base for spending time in GlenCoe. Staff is wonderful, and they work hard! I travelled by bus, and there's a stance right across from the hotel. I loved the location in the village of Glen Coe, and gateway to tons of hiking was right there. It's a fabulous place to stay after a long day of hiking.

All staff were terrific - they obviously enjoy their work. Old building, but lots of welcoming touches. Restaurant food was very good. A very enjoyable experience.

Magical Glencoe
Beautiful Location, easy to find, great restaurant onsite. My dad and I were celebrating our shared birthday and were greeted with a birthday card from the staff on check-in and a couple of complimentary glasses of sparking wine at dinner. Dinner was wonderful, the food and the service were impeccable. I would definitely return to this establishment in the future.

I unfortunately was actually never able to make it to the property but wanted to leave a review since I was so impressed by the customer service. The night before we were supposed to travel to the highlands, my toddler came down with RSV and we have to cancel our whole highlands trip, which included a night at Glencoe Inn. Not only did the hotel refund my payment but the part the impressed me the most was the incredibly warmth and concern it was met with. Specifically, I spoke with Ben over the phone and he shared some resources for reaching urgent care in Scotland over the New Years holiday when most resources were closed. I am so impressed by the warmth and customer service at this hotel and fully plan on staying here if we ever have the opportunity to visit Scotland again.

I had booked this hotel as a gift for my partner and I but due to last minute work commitments my partner could no longer attend. So I attended with my mum and my daughter. The hotel kindly moved us in to a bigger room to allow more space for us and to accommodate the travel cot. Although the hotel claims to be family friendly, they do not have a children’s menu in the restaurant. I had to buy meals for my daughter at the supermarket as there wasn’t anything suitable on the full menu for her. The staff were lovely but the hotel was very quiet during our stay and the staff weren’t very attentive. Most times we wanted a drink at the bar we had to walk around the hotel to find someone to serve us and were surprised to discover that there was a service charge added to the bill on every round at the bar! We were made aware of the service charge at the restaurant which we were more than happy to pay but we were not impressed with the service at the bar. I cannot comment on the “hidden spa” facility as we were unfortunately unable to make use of this due to my daughter travelling with us but the staff member who gave us our welcome tour didn’t even inform us about it. I would have been unaware of it if it wasn’t for reading the hotels website. The hotel in general was clean although my daughter had macaroni one evening for dinner and there was still some underneath the table when we arrived for breakfast the following morning. Overall we had a nice stay but not sure I would return.

Very disappointing stay, but didn’t ruin our trip, as we knew it was just a quick one night stopover. I think I’d be extremelt uposet if I was due to stay here for more than one night. Upon arrival. There is nobody sitting at a check-in desk, just an office door that is open but no bell to ring or number to call. Which then leaves you standing awkwardly for a while, then searching around for somebody, not great. Room was not worth the money paid (£130) – bed was smaller than a double, stains on sheet and towels, paid for a ‘mountain view’ but upon waking in the morning, we had a view of the busy road and roundabout. Bathroom really needed some work, dirty tiles, very narrow bath, seal had gone on shower glass so leaked everywhere. there was staff shortage so there was only one waiter and therefore we couldn’t be seated until our given time, fair enough no harm done. We sat and had a drink, but my partner had to remind the waiter around 19:35 that we were to be seated. Once seated, the waiter did the best he could but we waited absolutely ages (over an hour) for any food to be brought out, by this point we were ravenous and tired so just ate it as fast as we could and went to bed. The food was WAY over-priced for what it was - £35 for x3 small lamb cutlets, one carrot and a bit of mash! I’d say if it is just an overnight stopover, you’ll be okay, but don’t bother if you’re thinking it’ll be a nice stay. website makes it seem really idyllic but more like a roadside motel

It was overpriced. We stayed here 6 years ago and were excited to stay again, and willing to pay more. Since then they have renovated and added 2 restaurants and a new bar. It has lost a lot of its charm and character. It was an good stay, but not worth the price.

We had a warm welcome and enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful with our queries and experiences. Food was good but sometimes it took an eternity to arrive. Room was clean but starting to look tired.

Don’t waste your money
This room was the smallest space for the most money I have paid for one night. The room was small, with a double bed tucked under a sloped roof and up against a radiator. You had to climb over it, or your partner, to get out of bed. Luckily it was August, so we had the windows open for ventilation. However, this meant we heard every car coming up/down the gravel driveway most of the night. Thank goodness for earplugs. Restaurant on premises was adequate at best.

For what we paid for 2 nights I thought the room was basic, compact and the bathroom very small, the shower was tiny and really not great for larger people. If you are in a room by the drive you hear every car up and down the gravel path. This place is ok for a one night stop over.

The staff was very kind and the small rooms were clean. Food was very good. The hauling of cases, however, was terribly difficult- say 40 yards through a gravel patio and then up several stair cases. Still, Glencoe is one of Scotland’s jewels.

Over-priced, tiny room and smelly kitchen hotel
Our room was advertised as being 269 ft², but in reality it was so tiny, we would guess it was more like 150 ft² at best. Other than a queen bed, there was not much space left in the room. We paid almost £350 for a night; this hotel is definitely over-priced. Things in the room also did not work. The towel warmer did not work, the ancient rotary phone could not dial either. When stated to the Front Desk, his response was "I am here", so I guess we just have to go down to reach him each time we have question or request. To reach the hotel restaurant, you have to go through some smelly corridors between the kitchens. The smell of the raw meats, etc. really felt not sanitary. The straw to break the camel's back is the restaurant, Steak & Lobster Bistro. We decided to dine there because of its lobster offering, but the first thing our waiter told us was "chef said there's no lobster tonight"! What, a place call Steak & Lobster Bistro does not offer lobsters? If you can find another place to stay in this town, you should really try to avoid this hotel. It is NOT a 5-star, not even 4-star hotel.

The room I had was a bit snug by but had a vie of the hills as requested. The photos of it are from the rear as it is close to the road. It was comfortable, clean and the breakfast was perfect I would stay here again
