We stayed in Valencia for five nights in August and had a fantastic time. The room was excellent, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and was clean. The hotel amenities are very good, especially the outdoor pool and surrounding area. The restaurant is expensive, but as expected at a 5* resort. The hotel is easy to get to via public transport or taxi and you won't want to leave!
There was some inefficiency and trouble checking in on a Friday night. With a small lobby and an intern left to herself to checkin more than 10 people was a bit of hassle and bad start. Don't ask the interns for restaurant recommendations; they will send you to a commercial, average eatery. Ask the local valenciano staff where they eat. Hotel rents bikes which is the most convenient way to see the old town.
The hotel is the perfect blend of old and new. I loved the area it was located in. Our shower leaked into the room but with polished concrete floors it wasn't such a big deal. Will definitely recommended this place.
Stayed here for 2 nights while at a conference. Very conveniently located for the conference centre. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the Jacuzzi baths in each room are a nice touch. Laundry service was excellent. The rooftop pool, gym and sunbathing area are very pleasant and the view across Valencia from the roof is stunning! The breakfast buffet was average, but the evening meals in the restaurant were excellent value with a Menu del dia each evening. This included a main meal (grilled chicken or fish with a sauce, potatoes, vegetables and a big salad) and a drink (incl. wine or a beer) for 10 euros! There is a supermarket and several other restaurants very close by too. I would definitely recommend for business use or couples, not sure if it would suit families though.
