"This was our second stay on our trip in Sri Lanka as we enjoyed the hotel so much the first time. Lovely comfortable rooms. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. We dined in both restaurants and the food was excellent in each one. The rooftop bar has a really nice vibe to enjoy the stunning sunsets/cocktails. Would totally recommend if in this area. "

"Had to wait over an hour past posted check in time. Was told some story about the AC, but, seems it was housekeeping as the floors were wet when we finally checked in. Room was run down..biggest issue was that neither of the two showers drained properly. In fact, sewage came up and created an offensive odor. This was reported to the front desk and repairs were attempted, but not done properly. So, the room still smelled BAD. Also, the workman left a BIG mess. I had to go to the front desk to...

"We stayed at the Frangipani Tree for 9 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very helpful even before we arrived, helping to book a car from the airport. It is a two hour drive form the airport but the roads are very good and there is lots to look at on the way. On arrival you can relax with a drink and admire the scenery. "After a week touring the island, we just wanted somewhere to rest and relax. We could not have found anything better. Beautifully decorated private villa with pool, each one well apart so totally tranquil. The service was impeccable, excellent massage, variety of evening food experiences, first class local and international cuisine. All in a tea plantation setting with a wide variety of wildlife passing through. Just memorable "
