"Ishan provided everything we needed during our stay and the bird house was a perfect spot to stay. The bathroom which is connected to the bedroom was very clean and the bedroom was really cool in the evening. It is slightly noisy at night with the local wildlife but it was definitely manageable. We had breakfast and dinner cooked by Ishan’s mother which was very good and well priced. "

"I only managed to stay one night at De Saram House, which is a shame as I really liked the property. Admittedly it was initially somewhat hard to find it, but once you are inside, it is so calm and picturesque that it feels like an oasis from bustling Colombo. "I would highly recommend this hotel. The owners were wonderful and kind and so hospitable. The host picked us up at the airport at midnight and bought us back there. It’s about a 5 minute drive. Rooms were spacious, clean and fresh with very comfortable beds and pillows. And we had the most delicious breakfast which was home cooked. We felt so well looked after. Great first impression of Sri Lanka. "

"Every room has Sea view - this view is way better than some of the expensive hotels on Marine Drive. Reasonably priced hotel with sea view worth waking up to. Clean and decent sized rooms with functional bathroom. Friendly staff who go the extra mile to offer great service. Lots of food options within walking distance. Very convenient location."
