Trying to be nice, and consider it mediocre. Have stayed at multiple sonestas, we will never stay here again. . Rooms vary; ours was bad. Maybe- 2/3 the size of any photo. Thick dust on multiple surfaces. Toilet noise after flushing—for ~10 seconds, it sounded like a vacuum cleaner (which isn’t awful until you need to pee at 2am). I complained—didn’t get better. Elevators are insufficient; and one broke during the stay. And the security guy wouldn’t let the long line of people use the elevator to the roof bar. Housekeeping forgot to replace towels. Pretty much nonexistent customer service. This is a (maybe) 3 star hotel posing as 4 stars.

There were bedbugs on the mattress. I got bit several times at night, in the morning sure enough I found the bug. I put it in a napkin and took it to the front desk where they said they'll send it to the lab to get more information. The next day, on a Saturday, they called and said it was not a bedbug. After my own research and based on the bites I was assured that it was in fact a bedbug. My entire trip was ruined and I had to move to another hotel.

Great stay in a landmark old world hotel, every person we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The suite we had was great, comfortable and huge. I would say the hotel has a few things outdated, without some of the things we’ve become accustomed to for a 5 star property, almost to the point of being charming. Classic old world kept clean and fresh with impeccable service. Not stuffy….but men cannot wear shorts/athletic apparel to breakfast, if that sort of thing turns you off, I’d say this isn’t for you.

The hotel is in the best location. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!
