Great Location and Friendly Staff, but the Room Needs Serious Improvements The best thing about MaxStays Max Pavilion at The Venice Residences is definitely the location. Being so close to Venice Grand Canal Mall was wonderful and made shopping, dining, and walking around very convenient. Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. When we checked in, there was still food from previous guests in our refrigerator. The carpet looked so questionable that I wasn't comfortable walking barefoot on it. The washing machine drained water directly onto the floor. The stove was old and damaged, although it still worked. Another inconvenience was that we couldn't simply dial zero or another number to reach the front desk. We had to look up the phone number and call them ourselves. The door was also concerning. There was approximately a one-inch gap underneath it, along with a noticeable gap along the side. The old-fashioned key lock required turning the key several times to secure the door. It certainly didn't give me the feeling of security or quality I expect from a hotel. On the positive side, the staff were extremely friendly. Every person we spoke with was pleasant and helpful. I have absolutely no complaints about how we were treated. I personally prefer cleaner, more modern, and better-maintained accommodations. While the location is excellent and the staff deserve recognition, the condition of the room simply wasn't up to my standards. Bottom line: Fantastic location, wonde
