Phu Quoc Island Scuba Diving Holidays

Perfect location on South Beach. You can walk everywhere. Staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly. Breakfast included with room was very convenient. Room looked to be recently renovated which was nice . Only downside was a green throw rug under the bed, it was thick and a slight trip hazard. Also looked dirty. Beach right across the street, they offered beach towels and had chairs available.

Very clean and nice, loved it

The room was not clean. There was no shower curtain, and I was unable to obtain one after asking five times. The shower was also not equipped with cold water. The king bed was the worst I have ever had. The mattress was shaped like a “W” and I had to stay in the centre to avoid falling into a hole. The valet was indifferent to returning the key or assisting the guests. I believe I would have had a more enjoyable experience at the Holiday Inn two blocks south.

Nothing great about this hotel. The hotel is in need of a remodel. We had mold all in the shower and under the sink faucets. No help from the three guys working outside to help with bags. Just three guys standing around trying to not make eye contact with you. You have about 6-7 steps to get your luggage up. We tried to ask about a taxi. We stood at his work station and he never would acknowledge me, until I said excuse me and then told me to go inside to book one. The front desk staff were not friendly at all. We had to wait awhile to get our room which we knew. After 3 hours I went to check because I watched three people walk up and get a room. Acted put out because I didn’t receive the email notification to tell me my room was ready and why was I up there. The worker got me keys to our room. Sheets dirty The luggage was supposed to be brought up to our room. Nope! After an hour of waiting, we went to get our luggage. We got in from an excursion at 10 pm. We brought a slice of pizza back to the hotel lobby and ate it at the tables they have where you can eat. After the fact, when I took my trash to the guy to throw away, he said “next time, don’t bring food from outside to eat in here.” There were no signs put out that mention that. And we bought a piece of cake from their store to eat. The pool is small for a Riu. I was out tanning by the pool and the guy never came by to ask if I wanted a drink in the 3 hours I was out there. I know, I know, third world problems.

La habitación y el hotel todo limpio y el personal excelente. Raul y Jonathan nos atendieron muy bien y atentos en la piscina y en la playa.

A few bumps in the road but the staff, specifically housekeeping made up for it with their willingness to assist. Just a few suggesting's...Staff should Knock, announce and/or call before trying to enter a room (unless there is an emergency). If a guest is willing to upgrade based on an upsell, their room should be made first priority for cleaning and check in. Beautiful property, great location. I would definitely recommend others to visit.
