Quintana Roo Pet-friendly Holidays

Ill start off by all the great things, and then get into why I left 4 instead of 5. If there was a 4.5 I would have done that! The resort was great. We booked a seafront king room, and were upgraded up a seafront king room with outdoor shower which was lovely. Being on our babymoon, I spent a lot of time in that outdoor shower! Housekeeping was flawless - one thing that really stood out is that no matter what time we left the room, they always cleaned it even if we didn’t leave until late afternoon. They also did the occasional turn down service, and sometimes stopped by the room with a cart of beverages to stock our fridge. The buffet breakfast that we had included in our stay was the best we’ve ever had in Mexico, and we’ve stayed at a LOT of resorts. Beds were very comfortable, everything always very fresh. Pool and ocean service was always great as well. There is some “leaving towels on chairs to reserve them for hours” but not as bad as some places I’ve seen. The only reasoning I left off a star was because the à la carte food options were extortionate. It was cheaper for us to cab into town both ways and eat, than it was to have a meal at the resort. For example, the caprese salad worked out to be just under $30 CAD which I think might be the priciest salad I’ve ever see anywhere, globally! Anyway - I still highly recommend this resort. It’s a real mix of a crowd from young families to retired couples. It never felt crowded and there was always somewhere to sit.

The energy is vibrant, the design is chic, and everything feels intentionally elevated without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place where relaxation and fun coexist beautifully ~ loungy mornings, glamorous pool afternoons, and nights that hum with just the right amount of excitement. What truly sets this resort apart, though, is the service. Edwin at the bar is pure gold. His drinks were flawless every time, but even more than that, his warmth and charisma made each stop feel special. The kind of bartender who remembers you, anticipates what you want, and makes the experience feel effortlessly luxe. Poolside, Vincent and Viktor were exceptional. Attentive, polished, and perfectly tuned into guest comfort, they made the day feel seamless ~ towels, drinks, check-ins, all handled with ease and genuine kindness. They struck that rare balance of being present without ever hovering, which is the hallmark of true luxury service. Breathless Riviera Cancun nails the vibe: stylish, social, indulgent, and incredibly well run. It’s a place where you feel taken care of without being managed ~ and that’s a hard thing to get right. We left already planning our return.

Overall everything was good here. You could tell there were some tired parts to the hotel, but staff were very friendly on check in, everything was clean, many pools to choose from. We got upgraded at no charge to a suite upon check in, and it was great to have so much room! We ate on the patio of the sports bar one day. Food was good, but pricey. This is not a 5 star resort, but price was right, bed was comfortable, area was safe, fantastic view of the Caribbean Sea. Would stay here again.
