We had a wonderful stay at BlackBerry Hills Resort. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. They went above and beyond it making us feel at home. We took part in the morning yoga session which was a great way to start the day. The food at the Hornbill restaurant was delicious and very good value. We also used the laundry service which was reasonable and very quick to return our clothes. We stayed during the festival of Onam and the staff kindly let us join in decorating the hotel with flowers - a very special memory we will always remember! Thank you to everyone at BlackBerry Hills for a fantastic stay.

The staff was the highlight. The breakfast crew remember every morning that I wanted black coffee, so they ordered as soon as they saw me. They call your room to ask if you want breakfast or dinner room service. I thought it felt like upselling and was annoying. But things were good nonetheless

I honestly never expected a Fairfield by Marriott property to be like this. I have stayed at Fairfield properties in Amritsar and other places, but this experience was completely different and extremely disappointing. * The room size: The rooms are very small, but honestly, that is not even my main complaint. I understand that Fairfield is a limited-service brand and rooms can be compact. * Food quality: The food was extremely ordinary and nowhere close to the quality or presentation I associate with Marriott properties. This was one of the biggest disappointments. * Occupancy vs actual space: The booking clearly states that 3 people can sleep in the room, but there was literally no space to put an additional mattress. I also saw the mattresses kept outside other rooms, and their condition/quality was extremely disappointing. * Hygiene concerns: This was the most shocking part. I personally saw the same type of hand towel being used to clean utensils/pots, then the sink and subsequently the floor. This is absolutely unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. * Basic housekeeping standards: There appeared to be no clear distinction about which cleaning material should be used for which purpose. Seeing a towel being used across such different areas was honestly disgusting. * Overall experience: I have stayed at OYO properties that have provided a better overall experience than this. I genuinely never expected to say that about a property carrying the Fairfield by Marriott name.
