9.2/10 Wonderful! (429 reviews)
Overall, I had a great stay at The Residence Mauritius and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, the service was warm, and the beach is simply spectacular—without doubt one of the hotel's greatest assets.
That said, there are areas where I believe the hotel could improve. The biggest disappointment was the food at the main buffet. The quality was average, and on some occasions even below average. For a five-star resort in Mauritius, this was surprising, especially considering that many other luxury hotels on the island offer exceptional dining experiences.
Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I genuinely believe this property has enormous potential. The foundations are already there: a beautiful location, excellent beach, charming atmosphere, and a strong team. With greater focus on the food and beverage offering and continued attention to detail, I have no doubt it could become one of the standout luxury resorts in Mauritius.
Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and would happily return. At this stage, however, I would personally rate the hotel between **4 and 4.5 stars**, rather than a full five stars.

8.4/10 Very good! (271 reviews)
I always enjoy staying at Preskil but I had a bit of a bad experience on my check in on Monday, 3 August. I arrived at 9h00 at the hotel and i know that check in was only at 14h00. We sat at the check in area the whole day and my room was not ready at 14h00. The communication was not so clear and if i have known it will take over the check in time i could have gone for a scrub at the spa that time. My 1 colleague had a room 2 hours before me and i sat there till 14h30 without knowing it will take that long. Tired and over it by then.

9/10 Wonderful! (117 reviews)
We booked Bay Club at Anahita for 10 nights as a family of five with children aged 7, 14 and 17. Sadly, we had to check out after one night, which was a real shame.
The main issue was major renovation work around the restaurant, bar and pool, which we had not been made aware of. Noise, boarded-up areas and building work spoiled the ambience. Our apartment overlooked the restaurant and was also affected by workmen and scaffolding next door.
We were half board and the hotel had erected a marquee on the grass as a temporary restaurant. Unfortunately, it was poorly ventilated, attracted ants and uncomfortable. Management and staff were clearly embarrassed and acknowledged other guests had left. They tried to accommodate us in the Italian restaurant, but food options were limited.
The hotel kindly arranged for us to move to its sister property, Long Beach. However, this was not comparable to Bay Club, but we had little alternative.
There were positives. Our apartment was fantastic: spacious, modern, very clean and luxurious. The grounds and golf-course surroundings were beautifully maintained, and the resort felt exclusive, sharing the area with Four Seasons.
We particularly loved the boat trip to the island and its stunning beach. We enjoyed it so much that we returned later in our hire car, which the hotel allowed.
Once renovations are complete, Bay Club could be fantastic. It is peaceful and remote, although there is limited to do nearby and teenagers may find it quiet.

9.6/10 Exceptional! (321 reviews)
I loved how eco conscious the property was, refillable toiletries, water stations and paper straws only!
The beach was lovely, staff at boat house really helpful. The food was al a carte and lots of vegetarian and fish options which we liked. The drinks are on the expensive side but I think they good value for quality food makes up for this. We did full board and I would reccomend it. You can see there are some minor things to iron out like I didn’t like trying to be sold on booking dinner at the chefs table restaurant all the time. We used the spa on the last day even with discount this is pricey but the full body massage was amazing!
