I always enjoy staying at Preskil but I had a bit of a bad experience on my check in on Monday, 3 August. I arrived at 9h00 at the hotel and i know that check in was only at 14h00. We sat at the check in area the whole day and my room was not ready at 14h00. The communication was not so clear and if i have known it will take over the check in time i could have gone for a scrub at the spa that time. My 1 colleague had a room 2 hours before me and i sat there till 14h30 without knowing it will take that long. Tired and over it by then.

Stunning property with everything you could imagine. So huge and large, so much to do, that great place. Nevertheless we did have a bit of a bad experience on our arrival date as we did have not one but several mess up, that certainly does not count for my 5 star review. Johannes the property director made everything possible in his hands to change our view, and certainly succeeded. We enjoyed our stay lots and would recommend 100%!

Disappointing hotel in a fantastic destination Mauritius itself is an easy 10/10. It's a beautiful island with amazing beaches, friendly people and plenty to see. We'd definitely return to Mauritius—but we wouldn't stay at Sugar Beach again. The hotel has a great location on Flic en Flac beach, which is stunning, and the Buddha-Bar is excellent. The staff were always friendly and polite, but it's clear many of them haven't been properly trained (incompetent) and the overall service lets the hotel down badly. Thats mainly the reception staff and the main buffet. There was very little organisation at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tables weren't cleared promptly, so guests were left waiting while dirty tables sat empty. Pool and beach service was incredibly slow—it takes ages just to place an order and even longer for food or drinks to arrive. Waiting over an hour for a drink is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel... Many facilities are fully booked throughout our stay despite seeming empty, making it difficult to enjoy everything the resort offers. There were also lots of small frustrations that added up. There were no glasses available for breakfast drinks on several occasions, reception struggled with simple requests like arranging a taxi, and we were charged €20 for a photo without this being made clear beforehand... not the money thats the issue but the principle, imagine if we got one every night. It's a shame because the hotel itself has potential, and the beachfront loc

Everything is okay unless it’s packed, for some odd reason Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday’s lunch and dinner gets extremely packed to the point it’s almost unbearable but every other night it is very calm. Not sure why there is always that consistency as i stayed for over two weeks and couldn’t figure it out. Shout out to Imran though, great guy really helpful.

Amazing resort and very good breakfast

We enjoyed our week-long stay at Seasense and would give it a 4.5 score if we could. This small 63-room adult-only boutique hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are well appointed. Service is friendly and attentive, but can be slow at mealtimes. The exclusive beach is quite small and shallow but fine for a splash or a snorkel. The pretty à la carte restaurant is right by the sea, and there was no shortage of loungers, including with shade. The small pool is heated and lovely for a quick dip. The modest spa and sauna is a nice touch. Two issues however. First, noise from the road: the hotel is sandwiched on a small strip or land between the main coast road and the sea. More importantly, we found the food quite variable: occasionally excellent, always presented beautifully, but often bland and under-seasoned and cold. A shame given the reputation of Mauritian cuisine. Also, half the menu items (and nearly all the fish options) are subject to hefty supplements. The buffet night (combined with a free cocktail party for guests) was however enjoyable.

The whole stay was fantastic. The only down thing was the restaurant choice was very limited. Only one restaurant (Italian) open at lunch time and 2 options at night time, one of them being the italian restaurant again. There was a 3rd restaurant near the pool but closed for reburbishing. This information was not available when we booked the Hotel. The food in the available restaurants was really nice, but we were missing a bit of variety after a few days. Do not forget to bring your jellyshoes/water/diving shoes for the beaches
