"The Clayton is a very short ride to the airport on a free 24/7 shuttle. This is so helpful and the shuttle was there waiting both times we rode it. Extremely convenient. I also really liked the autocheck-in with a computer, though there is staff behind the counter is well if you prefer. Our room was clean and a nice size. We ate dinner at the Italian restaurant and had a nice stay. Very convenient for our stop over in Dublin."
"The Hotel looked great from the outside and the photos online, but in reality it was very dated. Our bathroom was old and a bit dirty and the lever handle to flush the toilet almost fell off the wall and the dial to turn on the shower was very hard to turn on. Our room overlooked the roof with fan units which was a bit loud. We had no aircon on our room which made it a little hot at night. The pool area had a very unpleasant smell and looked very old too. The breakfast was okay, but for 15 euro...
"Tapis sale dans la chambre, résidu d’excréments. Salle de bain très petite et mal aménagée, il y avait de l’eau partout après une douche. Corridor bruyant."
"The four of us stayed at the Clontarf Castle Hotel for two nights just before our tour of Ireland. We had planned this stay for months and we were not disappointed. In fact, as we drove up the roadway to the hotel, we noticed the meticulously groomed gardens and sitting areas. it was wonderful first impression.
Our first impression of the hotel was one of delight and anticipation. The castle looked breathtaking, magical and medieval. Everything we expected and more.
The hotel's history in the...
"Room and property was very clean. Location was amazing but property itself could have used a little refresh. Front desk staff were very friendly, Jameson Bar staff were not."
"Appears clean. Feels a little under serviced even for a Travelodge. No amenities to speak of, no hair dryer in room. Bare minimum and small, thin towels. Cigarette smoke smell seems to come through the bathroom vent. Toilet barely flushes. I wouldn't stay again but Swords is a neat town. Price was way too high for what is offered, even for a tourist season Saturday night. Lesson learned."
