Reichenau Island Adventure Holidays

As a retired flight attendant I'm used to small hotel rooms (Japan, Paris, etc) so that wasn't a big surprise to me. There is ample storage space for two people, even in the bathroom, which was a nice surprise. I loved the rain shower! There is ample room in the fridge, but the ice storage space was coated with thick ice, barely room for one little ice tray. On a down note, we couldn't control the thermostat in the room. It stayed at 24.5 C (76 F) for our entire stay, which is uncomfortable for guest from Texas. I couldn't find a phone number posted to help us. After the sun went down, we opened the windows to cool the room off so we could sleep. It is a short walk to Zürich train/bus stations with plenty of dining spots in the neighborhood. There is a lovely Italian restaurant, Milano's, across the street, so after a long travel day to get there, that was a pleasant relief. There is also a well stocked Coop grocery right next door. There is also a convenient coffee/snack off the lobby. Recommend bringing the ceramic cups from the room to hold the paper coffee cups as they are extremely hot to hold by hand. On the lower level (-1) there is a gym and a "WeWash" laundry room. You need to download the WeWash app to use. I loved this! It even provides the soap so you do't have to pack any! You can stay in your room and the app tells you when your load it finished. I will definitely return to City Pop!

It’s a very good hotel with a panoramic view of Zurich and the lake. There is room for a little improvement, though: the staff were friendly, but when we requested a service, it took 45 minutes to be handled. Also, on the second day, they didn't restock the Nespresso capsules, which was a real shame.
