Our stay was amazing and it was difficult to leave. The overwater bungalow suite was really nice. My husband and I even did shark watching at night. Yes, there were baby sharks! All the staff were so nice! Look for Sattar if you need a professional photographer. The F & B team led by the female manager (apologies for not remembering her name) were all on point. Pasta guy behind the station took us back to Italy again with his carbonara!

Kuramathi is a beautiful luxury resort. The beaches are long and uncrowded with swimming on one side if the island and reef snorkeling on the other. We had a Water Villa with pool...a large, clean modern space with a lovely bedroom and a huge bathroom overlooking our private deck and infinity pool. Pure luxury. Great choices in the buffet restaurant. Now for the disappointing part: The human element is completely missing here. No smiles or greetings from the staff, no sense of the hospitality and warmth we experienced on the Local islands. Kuramathi is a beautiful manufactured experience with no soul.

It was nice. Did have to request for our pool to be cleaned and the deccing wasn’t cleaned during our stay therefore made it a bit uncomfortable to use our private pool. Out shower was also full of leaves. Our room wasn’t cleaned for 2 days although we left the sign on the door requesting for it to be done. After speaking with reception the finally did clean our room. It was advertised as 2 restaurant all inclusive but one restaurant was closed

We returned to Ihuru 40 years after our honeymoon. It was basic but great then .... Now it is fantastic and great!

Our stay was amazing and it was difficult to leave. The overwater bungalow suite was really nice. My husband and I even did shark watching at night. Yes, there were baby sharks! From the moment we found the Cinnamon representatives at Malé airport to take us to our seaplane, we didn't have to think for ourselves for the remainder of one of the most relaxing weeks ever. The staff at the resort were incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The buffet food was varied and plentiful; every meal also had at least one station with a chef to make you, depending on the mealtime, custom eggs, pasta dishes, stirfys, plus a special station that would change daily, from burgers to pizza to tacos, curries, fresh catches, bbq'd meats, etc. We enjoyed the adults only aspect and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere all over the resort. Even the architecture was calming; the overwater villas with their white sail rooves and the sweeping pathways across the reef all felt so natural with the white sand and palms and added a tremendous feeling of peace. The other resorts we saw from the seaplane just didn't look quite as good! Our overwater villa was just as fantastic as the pictures advertising it. We spent several hours on our private deck, lazing in the floor hammock, tanning on the loungers or just sitting on the edge, watching the marine life in the shallows from above. On one of the days, we went on one of the free excursions to go snorkelling in deeper waters; special thanks and admiration to the captain of the boat, who dove to the bottom of the reef to retrieve a snorkel mask one of us had dropped. Must have been at least 6 meters. A true hero.
