"After a long and exhausting journey, we finally arrived at the hotel around 1 AM due to a delayed flight. Unfortunately, the experience at reception was extremely disappointing. The older woman at the front desk was incredibly rude and claimed she could not find our reservation under my name. Even after I clearly showed her the confirmed reservation on my phone, she refused to acknowledge it and acted as though the situation was entirely our problem, seeming fully prepared to turn us away. After some difficult back and forth, I asked if there were any rooms available for the night. Clearly annoyed and rolling her eyes, she said there was only one room left and made us pay for it again, even though the reservation had already been fully paid through Expedia. Thankfully, Expedia’s customer service was very helpful and managed to get one of the charges refunded the next day. Sadly, the receptionist’s behavior left a very bitter impression on us. She was by far the rudest hotel employee I have ever encountered, and honestly one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Communication was also difficult because she spoke very little English, though enough to make us feel completely unwelcome. It completely ruined our first impression of Belgrade. It’s unfortunate because the hotel itself is actually very nice — the rooms are comfortable and the location is excellent, right in downtown. However, the hotel seriously needs to reevaluate its night shift front desk staff."

"Great location! In the pedestrian zone so don’t expect be able to drive right up the the doorstep. Rooms are compact but tidy, clean, and comfortable. Staff are great and very helpful."

"Mama Shelter Belgrade is awesome. To start, it's located inside of a massive 4 or 5 level retail mall. The former is within a vibrant shopping plaza which happens to be across from Belgrade Fortress Park. My point here is that it is centrally located. The staff is professional and cordial. My room was tastefully appointed with everything I needed and the lobby doubles as a bar/restaurant/lounge with live music. The strange thing is that there's no awkward transition between hotel check-in and visiting the bar/restaurant. It all works seamlessly. I strongly recommend Mama Shelter Belgrade and when I Belgrade next. I plan to stay there again. Cheers,"

"I had a really pleasant stay at this property and would definitely recommend it to other travelers. The room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and very well-maintained. You can really tell that attention to detail is a priority here. The room was fully equipped with everything you might need during your stay — from basic essentials like a toothbrush to more thoughtful touches like a bathrobe. Nothing was missing, and it honestly felt like everything had been carefully prepared to make guests feel comfortable and at home. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with any questions or requests. Their hospitality really made a difference. Breakfast was fresh and offered a good variety, and the parking was convenient and easy to use. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent room standards and comfort. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"The room was very clean. Located on the edge of the city center/pedestrian area. Walkable to most major sites. Parking a couple blocks away. The only thing I think could be improved is getting access information before you're at the door."

"Very modern apartment in a traditional Serbian suburb. The apartment is amazing, there are full coverage mechanical window blind, blackout curtain and great soundproofing. The bathroom contains a state of the art boiler. The kitchen is fully equipped too with a ceramic cooktop and a proper oven as well as a full size fridge. There's also a decent couch and a big screen tv. The location is a bit out of town but it's a bustling suburb and you have lots of food places and supermarkets there. Als the bus stop is right outside. Most importantly the staff of the hotel seemed really nice and spoke great English. Happy to come back someday "
