  • Slovakia's High Tatras Mountain! I was at a frozen glacial lake called Štrbské pleso. It's one of the most iconic landmarks in Slovakia. It is really amazing to walk on it! And to see so many people having fun! With their friends, family and classmates. It was a beautiful early March day. I had a great winter holiday this year in Slovakia :). The views were really stunning everywhere! In my post-processing work I did edit out a construction site (or whatever it is. I never got close enough to see). So, if you visit Štrbské pleso don't be surprised it is there! And more info about Štrbské pleso: It's the 2nd-largest glacial lake on the Slovak side of the High Tatras, Maximum depth is 20 metres (66 ft). Surface elevation is 1,346 m (4,416 ft). And it's surface remains frozen for around 155 days per year!

A great spot for an authentic Slovakian experience

Every thing was ideal for a pension style stay. Rooms large, bathroom was en suite and the shower was great. Meals superb, and the hosts were most helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed my 3 days there.

Gezellig klein hotel met restaurant

Gezellig klein hotel net buiten ski dorpje, met goede wandel mogelijkheden in de zomer. Hotel wordt gerund door een vriendelijk en behulpzaam stel. Verder een prima restaurant met goed eten voor een erg goede prijs. Kamers zijn schoon en hebben een luxe badkamer, er wordt dagelijks schoongemaakt. We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad en komen zeker terug.
