Perfect stay with incredible staff

I contracted the flu that was active in the area. All of the staff including reception, house keeping and breakfast crew were amazingly helpful and supportive. After sleeping for several days, I emerged to receive greeting from all and wishes for good health. This is an amazing hotel!

A bit out of the way for tourists.

The hotel is adequate for a couple of days but it is quite basic. The biggest issue for me was the fact that there’s no restaurant. Normally not a huge problem as you can dine elsewhere but … because there is no restaurant in the immediate area of the hotel - which at night I considered an unsafe area - it was a problem. In brief - the hotel is a 20 minute walk to the old town and this would not be advisable to do at night. So a taxi would be the answer.

Annoying

Room was freezing, obviously had been airing. It took around 6 hours to warm up but the mattress was still cold even then. Reception offered me the same room on 2 different floors and I checked and the rooms were normal temperature but I was too tired to move at that time and mine had warmed up by then. I asked for a blanket and was told there weren't any. Then we went to the cupboard and there were a lot of blankets. Later that night I realised why the room was so cold, it was to get the smell of smoke out, which it didn't anyway. Very disappointed. Why not give me a room without problems in the first instance given there were some? Perhaps because I'm a single woman traveler and they assume we won't complain.

Le personnel était très gentil. Il y a eu quelques oublis dans la chambre, comme le contenant de savon pour la douche qui était vide et le sol qui ne semblait pas avoir été balayé. Si les voisins de chambre parlent jusqu’à 2h du matin, on les entend très bien. Dans l’ensemble, à part le sol, c’est un bon rapport qualité-prix. La salle de bain, les draps et les serviettes étaient très propres. La chambre était belle et spacieuse pour deux . Si les voisins de chambres parle jusqu’à 2h du matin, on les entends.
