Zandvoort showing street scenes
Discover this relaxing seaside resort and enjoy the sun, the sea and the beach. It's also the perfect base for a day trip to Haarlem or a day in the dunes.

Zandvoort is a popular destination thanks to its long beaches, race track and proximity to quaint little cities such as Haarlem. Zandvoort also borders on an expansive nature reserve, perfect if you want to combine your beach trip with a walk in the woods and heath.

Zandvoort has been inhabited since the 12th century. It was once known as ‘Sandevoerde’ and didn't become a seaside resort until the 19th century The village was almost fully destroyed in the Second World War by the Germans to make room for bunkers and launch sites. After the war and a period of reconstruction, Zandvoort has become a cherished seaside resort with loads of sights and things to do.

Looking for something fun to do in Zandvoort for the whole family? Combine your day at the beach with a visit to the Jutters mu-Zee-um and discover what has washed up on the beach over the years. The Zandvoorts Museum has a special collection of local history and art.

Race lovers will be able to see the only race track in the Netherlands, Circuit Park Zandvoort, that holds regular events and competitions. Are you a nature lover in search of peace and quiet? National Park Zuid-Kennemerland is where it’s at. Hire a bicycle and explore the area or go on long walks in the woods and the dunes.

"We need a place near airport. This hotel works prefect for us, just a few minutes walk to the airport. Room is small but tidy with all smart controls, which is cool. The commonn areas are decorated tastefully. The bar has decent food choices. But airport has plenty of restaurants."
