"I have stayed at the Esplanade several times over the years. It changes little but always seems fresh. I noticed they have dropped the door keys with the large tassels for tap keys. Shame but it will not stop me stayong again! This is a top European elegance hotel. Rooms are large. I was recognised and upgraded. It has a lovely terrace and memorablr breakfast. I look forward to my next stay. "

"The hotel was clean but had the smell of cigarettes in the hallway. We were on the “first floor” which meant we had to walk up to two flights of stairs with suitcases, and no elevators. However, the room we stayed in was nice and clean. But for the price, would rather stay elsewhere next time. "

"Great location and well appointed rooms. Close to the bus station which we had to use. The front desk staff were very helpful and eager to help. We dined in the hotels restaurant and were pleasantly surprised how good the food was and how reasonably priced. I would stay there again. Robert"

"It was great to have such a nice place to stay with such a good view! Truly unexpected. Small things to help for next guests would be an ashtray for outside and paper towels and frying pan in the kitchen. The check in /out process was great. Maybe adjusting the listing on Expedia too so guests don’t think it’s another location becuase that was a little confusing. Otherwise we had a nice stay and great time in Zagreb!
